Ahh yes but Ramien was also playing in a winning team. When we are winning, Dugan is on fire & one of the main resons we are winning.

And we are out of the 8. Jesse last year was better than Dugan is putting out this year

Is he?

in 2018

Ramien 20 games
10 Tries
104m per game
50 Tackle Breaks
10 Line Breaks
22 Errors
3 Try assists

Dugan 2019
16 Games*
9 Tries*
125m
64* Tackle breaks
10* Linebreaks
30 Errors
2* Try Assists

There isn't much difference, and I bet if I did a poll on those numbers without names people would pick option B over Option A any day of the week.

EDIT: Majority of Dugans errors came from fullback as well.

So going forward I’d back the 22 year old putting out numbers as good as our best back to improve over the nearly finished Dugan.Morris does too.

Edit: a shit load of tackle breaks and metres also come from Dugan at fullback. Apples and oranges.

Do yo uwant to win the comp now or prepare to win it with potential. nearly done or nearly ready? Dugan is better than Ramstein every day of the week, & Im Ramsteins biggest fan.
Shits me how people can't separate personalities from on field performance, particularly when somebody is literally killing their body.

Snowball effect
Jesse Ramien's problems with the Knights started with him being unhappy at not getting the football in his hands earlier in the season. Than came word about issues surrounding his management and the possibility of him changing stables when agent Gavin Orr's contract came up this month.

It was apparently then that he was regularly getting reminded the $250,000 contract he signed with the Knights after playing just one NRL game for the Sharks was massive unders and he could be earning far more elsewhere. At around the same time, we understand Ramien took offence to coach Nathan Brown not whole-heartedly publicly endorsing him for an Origin berth when NSW needed a centre prior to Origin I.

Jesse Ramien

It has simmered ever since with Ramien producing some hot and cold [mainly cold] form along the way. Then the speculation grew that rivals were being sounded out and senior players pulled Ramien aside after his poor game against the Roosters to find out if there was any underlying issues.

They were apparently told everything was fine. But it got back to the club in the past week that a family member had allegedly approached Cronulla on Ramien's behalf seeking a possible return. Despite denials from Ramien, Brown and CEO Phil Gardner had felt for quite some time he didn't want to be at the club.

That's when they knew for certain.

I really hope Flanno gets the St Helens job & he can take some of our old boys with him. I like Duges, he’s hard as nails and has a crack but he is taking up too much cap space for his output. Same with Moylan & Prior.....Take them to the UK Flanno!

The same 22 year old whose numbers in 2019 are abysmal and lead to him being dropped?
2019 Dugan is out playing 2018 & 2019 Ramien.
Its not even close.
Id tame Ramien back, but not at the expense of Dugan or Xerri.

Like always, you can be sure they have enough cap space.

Yeah, just claim special dispensation for someone who needs to go to Thailand for 'mental health issues'.

'Anxiety 'cos' the coach don't like me any more...'

Interesting & encouraging if true.

Did the relo go to DTTC with the request??

I don't think anyone is even suggesting at the expense of Xerri.

Dugan is playing well this year, no doubt. He’s going even better when he gets up & plays it immediately.

However I don’t think we’d miss him next year if he was gone especially if Ramien replaced him.

So those merkins in Newy were underpaying the kid, questioning him about his loyalty and the coach wasn’t supportive.

Poor kid
Yeah, no. He signed the contract, then spit the dummy when he realised he sold himself short. Began demanding more money, but performances didn't back it up. Got pissy when coach didn't put him forward for origin (again, performances didn't warrant it). Decided to put in half arsed efforts for rest of year. Had his family illegally trying to get him back to Cronulla. Speaks absolute volumes about his character.

Knights motto is "be the player other people want to play with".
Ramien is not that player.

Hope you enjoy having him, his massive ego and equally massive (and unwarranted) contract back.
