Its getting very good reports and i cant waitr to get my hands on one. This could really put a dent in Nintendos dominance of the handheld market. Hopefully we will see Sidhe develop RL for this thing ;-)

It is indeed a very nice machine.

We'd love to do Rugby League for it, but it depends on how well the PSP sells in Australasia.

We should however be announcing the game we are building for PSP before the end of the year. Its not a sports game though, and will only appeal to some fans of our Rugby League game.

Would you be able to tell us about the other two games (I think) that Sidhe are making? Like, whether they are sport or not?

I can't talk about those other two projects (we are currently working on 3 altogether) unfortunately as we are bound by non disclosure agreements.

However, given the sorts of games people seem to like on this forum, I think fans of Rugby League will like one or the other of them.

Hopefully we can release more information at some stage next year.

Battrey life will be all important the reports, and admittedly it's only speculation at this point, haven't left me feeling overly confident but we'll wait and see.

Sony Ericcson's phones have very poor battery life. So hope they're better than the phones.

I reckon it will involve ducks ;)

I'm still hoping for a Sidhe rugby union game.

I suppose that is getting a bit more unlikely now, there seems to be only two major NFL games (ESPN and Madden) these days, so it doesn't seem as if it is likely for rugby union to have three games.

I think in the US there are several other NFL games, not available for sale in Australia as they were made by smaller studios. So there's room for another Union game in the Australia/England market. Sidhe is only a smaller studio, so probably won't make the US market.

We want another League game though - EA Sports as long as it's made by the US or Canadian studios would be good (the Australian and English studios have no idea). It's good to have at least 2 companies so neither company can take it to lightly. Competition is good.

Our PSP title is getting released in the US, Japan, Europe and Australasia. We are gradually clawing our way up the game development food chain :)

Are you still "hoping to have something to announce" about RugbyLeague in january?

Things continue to look positive on that front, so I am hoping there will be news around then.

As I have said before, you guys will be amongst the first to know.

I don't really think the market is big enough to have two league games though. Sidhe put out a good game, yet it didn't get near 1/2 a million sales. Rugby 2004 was a piece of shite, yet got over 1/2 a million sales (I think). That partially reflects the popularity of the codes, as RL was probably only released in the UK, NZ and Australia. Rugby 2004 was released in those places and France (which has a good rugby fan base) and would've sold a lot better in places like Ireland.

What would be a good thing about a Sidhe made union game is that they could share their own technology, and while developing parts of the league game, they could put that into the union and vice versa.

If it's not sports related but some members of this forum will like it, it must be Union. ;-)

Well, I didn't say the other two games weren't sports related. They might be. They might not be.

All shall be revealed over time :)

I dont think anyone has made a soccer game before, you should look at pioneering that market.

Mario, i was more having a tongue in cheek stab at Union, not your product.

Best of luck with the new product as well. Hope it is successful.
