James Hooper said that Snoz picked B J Leilua as a development player as asked the Raiders to allow him to go into camp with the squad (like Bird & Carty). Sticky said the BJ is no longer a development player, so pick him in the team or f**k off.

Now Jmoz is out, BJ Leilua would have been an immediate pick had he been in the camp. He isn't, enter Bird.

GI isn't exactly in sparkling form.

Walker has been in dynamic ball running form.

Morris and Ferguson were most disappointing in attack I thought. Walker and bird would be better still.

At least bird is a proper bench option. Can play back row through to three quarters.

I don't think Ricky cost BJ a spot. Walker was obviously in front of BJ and got moved to right centre. I doubt then Daley would have picked BJ to come off the bench. He only plays centre. He is even less versatile than Walker who can also kind of play in the halves or fullback.

Still, we will get flogged.

Can anyone recall the last time a NSW side was able to get a decent 1st half lead over QLD?? Like 16 or 18 nil? We've seen QLD start fast a number of times in any of the last 10 years, Game 3 last year for instance, it was all over after 20 minutes... Seems like NSW haven't been able to score more than 2 consecutive tries in a game since about 2001...

Think this one will be close as QLD are on the wane... QLD 16 NSW 12

Agree. He's a shadow of the player he was 2-3 years ago... even then, he wasn't a 9 out of 10 player week in week out like Hayne and Thurston were/are... more flashes of brilliance every other week.... these days those weeks are few and far between...
