Is it just me getting old & grumpy, or does anyone else agree that the whole SOO selection criteria has lost the plot. Now QLD have named Ben Teo in their squad FFS, players are 'pledging' their allegiance to one state or another. What happened to the original concept of State against State/mate against mate???? Since when was Ben Teo a Queenslander, or Greg Inglis a Queenslander etc or James Tamou a Blue???
Thoughts???

Anything to stop thinking about my beloved WT's for a while.....

I think if you qualify to play for Australia, then you qualify for Origin. Can't have it both ways. Tamou has already played for Australia. Once they make that decision however they should never be allowed to reverse it. I hate seeing players represent multiple countries over their careers.

check out my Mad Monday article on the LU homepage.

I completely agree.

Origin indicates place of birth.

The SOO concept has really gone full cycle back to pre-1980,QLD have made a mockery of the selection process for years and now NSW are following suite, both states need to be pulled into line for SOO credibility to be restored .
