SOS Brian "Bluey" McClenan for Coach

If the Warriors don't get him I think you guys should make a play for Brian McClenan. He will provide good sensible coaching and he has a very good reputation on turning ordinary players into good ones (not that you guys have ordinary players) He also had an impressive record in coaching in all Levels - He has stated that he would love to coach in the NRL and if given the opportunity he will take it with two hands. I personally would love to have him coach the warriors as Ivan Cleary has done well to get us out of our sh*thole he is not a coach who can take us to the next level. Brian McClenan is hands down New Zealands best League coach and anyone who has been coached or has any connection with him as only praise for the man. Okay Green Machine fans write in to Canberra HQ and make it count.:D

I agree.

But I don't see the Raiders cutting Dave loose, 3 and a half years of a salary to pay out if they do. Also he doesn't appear to be on the verge of quitting to me, still offering up plenty of excuses as to why things aren't working and not taking any responsibility himself.

I like Daniel Anderson myself.

4 grand finals in his last 5 years is a decent record.

Daniel Anderson or Graham Murray for me.

But we just signed supercoach to a 4 year deal, we aren't getting anyone.

I'd take Anderson (Daniel of course, not Chris!:lol:) I've always loved the type of footy his sides have produced.

He's a straight shooter and would get the players out of their comfort zone which is something we definitely need. Sure he fell out with his side at the Warriors, he said he'd learnt from it and put in solid years with solid results at St. Helens and only left so his family could move back to Australia. His time at Parra was marred by politics, so don't think too much should be read into his two season stint there.

Reckon he'd fit in well with our management and board too.

Time for Furner to be honest, put his hands up and say thanks for the opportunity and move on, then lets get Anderson on the team ASAP.

Bluey won the 2005 Tri-Nations his first year coaching the kiwis. Won the super league grand final and the world club challenge his first year at Leeds and backed it up the next year by winning another grand final.

Let's not forget he took a side from 3rd Division to 1st Division and won the title here in NZ, he has delivered above expectations every challenge that comes his way. Daniel Anderson is an excellent choice too very technical has a way of instilling confidence to those that lack it.

Both Good Suggestions, my overall pick would still be Brian McClenan

Well the raiders fans would prefer just about anyone over the current bloke....just about....cause they would probably prefer Furner to Elliot, there is a man hated in these parts.

Anderson, Murray & Sticky lack people skills.

Bluey has great people skills and he's got a good footy brain. The guy gets results.

Back to back titles for Leeds. Beat the illegal Storm team in the WCC. Ended the Kangaroos dominance in his first year at international level.

He's the right man for the job.
