South Sydney Rabbitohs issues

Bennet ain't the saviour. Watch for a brief resurgence then a great fall when he leaves them in a worse state than they are in now.
Its no co-incidence that they are coming last so soon after having Bennett at the club
Broncos had a gun roster when Henjak took over.

Dragons had a good roster.

Rabbits had the same roster almost that made 2x prelims and a GF under Bennett.

Bennett leaving sides in disarray is a myth, it’s the selection of coach that has been sub par.

GOAT coach gets average players playing very well with fantastic team harmony and star players can shine

Next coach can't replicate ability to get average players playing well, star players have no platform to shine

It's not rocket surgery

Demetriou got them to a preliminary final the year after Bennett left. It's not Wayne's fault they fell in a heap midway through last year.

A massive issue with Souths is their lack of will to turn over their roster. Injuries piling up for Souths is nothing new. Over the last two seasons before this one, injuries have clearly been increasing for them.

Souths will need to make some tough decisions over this season. Guys like Mitchell, Munro, Graham, Johnson, Tatola, Arrow, Murray are frequently on the injury list. That is just plain old too many in order to go through the season. Some of those (as good or bad as they are) either need to take a pay cut or go.

Their spine is just not cutting it. Gray is making an absolute mockery of the idea of Latrell at fullback, Walker has played over a season too long, Dodd is clearly not up to it and expensive and the Greek is basically a tackling machine.

Bennett needs to make some tough calls over players he has known very well.....let's see if he is up to it.

It's too early to tell with Dodd. Yes, he wasn't great on Saturday, but his forwards didn't really help.

Walker? Yep, he may have gone a season too long.

In relation to Latrell Mitchell, it seems (from the outside looking in) he is coddled too much and no one at Souths is willing to tell him he has to get in a get involved more, especially if he wants to play fullback. They can't carry a player at fullback who only want to run the ball a max of 8-10 times a game. He has all the talent, but his motivation seems to be the issue.
