Souths need to Change their Away Strip

It be good if Souths could use their 2003 World Sevens Strip as the Away one for next season.

it was basically half green and half white, with some red and white around the sleeves and neck area.
I couldnt find a picture of one unfortunately.

What is wrong with cardinal and myrtle horizontal stripes, it has worked for nearly a century so why not keep it?

That's our 'home jersey'

Apparently we need an 'away jersey' even though there is only one other team in the comp with Green and that's the Raiders. Yet our away jersey looks more like the raiders than our home jersey.....

Souths were told they could have the same jersey for Home and away, it was a Souths decision to have the away jersey for marketing reasons and the fans voted on the style. Souths have been in comp since 08 and the Raiders since 82 who should have first choice?

I didnt know that - i thought it was a rule that every club had to have 2 guerneys?

On their reentry Souths were approved to have the one jersey, that was declined. I can understand they want to maximise merchandise sales of which they receive a royalty but it should be remembered that Souths fans are battlers and do not have unlimited sums of money.

Also the NRL prefers clubs have 2 jerseys and allow them to change every 3 years as they own all the logos and jerseys and receive a lot of revenue. No NRL club owns its own logo.

Maybe if the white and green were swapped round...white the top half green the bottom it'd be better....

Personally I think ur away strip looks fine. but yous hardly ever wear it anyway...not against us anyhow.
