Hopefully Ross can get back on the field and earn a contract with you. I think all other players are under contract with you for 2011, except for Ross.

Hopefully Geddes can have an injury free season too.

If you can keep that team fit and healthy, you should make the 8 easily.

I think Clark is a great player and have an excellent defensive technique. I expect him to be even better next year.

As much as it pains, Wesser's our best option at the back. Merritt is a genuine winger and should be for the rest of his career so wouldn't move him.

Give Ben Lowe a crack in the centres, looked good there early this year and will have our best players on the park to start the game.

The only other change I would make is move Merritt to fullback, drop Wesser and put anyone of our fine young wingers on the dingaling... maybe Kane Morgan?

I would find a place for Jamie Simpson, move Sutto to lock, make an offer to Reni Matua or any other suitable utility & hope to christ that Talanoa learns how to catch the ball & defend against his opposite winger without giving him 10 yards start & letting him get on his outside.

If I were to rissole Wesser I'd put Simpson at Fullback. I reckon he'd do a great job back there, strong ball runnner and defender.

Ever since Luke Stuart got injured Souths' defence in the middle of the field has become paper thin. From the Warriors game onwards teams have made several line breaks a game through the centre and run up big scores in every game except the Melbourne game

It is a concern if an old guy like him is key to Souths' defence. They need someone younger who can tackle in the middle

It is time for Souths to be honest about some of their players. Players like Clark and Tyrell are young but they are not first grade material. Pettybourne is definitely better than these

in case you haven't noticed how we've been going since stuarts injury, that bloke is our forward pack. and eddie has been a down right disappointment this season. stuart is getting on, yes. but he's showed no signs of it. so long as his body holds up, i'm happy for him to stay around till he's 40!

clarke is our future defensive machine. in the past few weeks he has been very impressive.. and its because he's been getting real game time. the bloke has a massive heart, and massive potential. you'll see. he'll get there.

tyrell... when he's on he is an astute defender and carts the ball up well... we haven't seen much of the latter this season

eddie, as stated above, and been disappointing this season

Dogmatix its the first thing i worried about when Baz got injured was the ruck defense as he blocks up the gaps constantly and its shown badly since. The other players haven't picled up Stuart's work and they won't as they don't want to work that hard or simply can't do it.

Clark is capable of eventually being the plug in our ruck defense but he's still young and inexperienced, he is without doubt first grade quality! on the other hand i have not seen anything special in Tyrell to tell me he's worthy of selection in the firsts, he may eventually may become a 1st grader but i have my doubts. Mcpherson has a great work ethic in defense but i wish he was a bit bigger actually made some yardage with his hitups, sadly he doesn't.

Basically our whole side is full of inexperienced players who are either with the potential of being long term first graders or on the edge between 1st's and premier league quality and mixed with experienced but inconsistant first graders like sutton and wesser. It's all about consistency for longer periods for us and we just can't quite seem to be able to reach it.

We need a fullback, another centre, and another half at the bare minimum. The resigning of Wesser was an absolute dud decision.
Shane Richardson has to take some blame for these recruitment decisions.

Max just has to go to fullback.

He adds that extra attacking dimension and gets the ball a lot more than he does now.

I was on the hill at Penrith on Friday and I got more passes thrown to me than max did!

He too good to spend his career festering away admiring cheerleaders on the sidelines.

Roymond probably needs to be dropped to the bench.
