we gave melbourne a good old scare ealier in the year. we knocked off the warriors the week after they beat melbourne. we beat the titans when they were flying high and yes prince and co were playing. you cant put them all down to the oposition playing poorly.

you also have to keep in mind... there is no one more dangerous then someone with nothing to lose. we will come out and throw everything at you guys, and unless your team recognises that we are a real threat on this game, it will be a sour day for you

and as for 7 losses, yes we had a bad start. that happens when you play without halves. how about the 6 from 8 we've won with the players your "insomniacs best friend" of a team will be facing on saturday.

the only reason your team is winning is because your guys hired a coach for your coach. before that you didnt even look like an nrl team and were dead set certainties for the spoon. speaking of spoons youve won a few of them in recent years too havent you? by the way, when was the last time your guys won a grand final? 1971 was it?? and that was what... the last grand final you even appeared in? thats nothing short of disgraceful. the last time your guys were even remotely competing for the premiership was back in 1989. since then you so called loyal fans turned your backs on your team and because your crowd numbers and takings were so low you were kicked out of the comp because your team is a joke. yes you were a founding club but youre a team full of nothing but has beens and never will bes. as for playing without halves, what a load of crock, youve had plenty of halves, your coach just isnt up to nrl standard. i love it when people in glass houses cast the first stone. i only prey for a good game.

yes the last time we won a premiership was 71. when did you last win one?

team full of has beens never will bes? we have a very good line up... we're the sleeping giant who just woke up. we're angry we slept in, so we will make up for lost time against your sorry team.

and what halves did we have earlier in the year. jeremy smith? ben rogers? paea (i remain a fan of his, but he's still not ready for nrl)? luke (fantastic player, but not a half back)? sutto did what he could, but he;s only one man, not to mention a lock.

Lets face it sharks... you guys simply aren't value for money. we are going to win this game for rugby league fans everywhere. we are the guys who get fans into seats, and then out of them when we start to turn on the magic. when someone pays to see a sharks game, they are left feeling dejected and ripped off that their team couldnt entertain them. sure, you's say it worth it if you's get a win, but you know that you have been robbed of the excitement a rugby league game is supposed to bring.

we are going to win, and do so well, not just because we are the better team, and the boys arent just going to do it because they have the best fans, they are going to do it for rugby league.

In the uncertain times of broken contracts, betrayals and sex scandals, rubgy league, neigh, sports fans everywhere know they can come to a rabbitohs game and be reminded what sport is all about

Poetry aaron, poetry.

As a young 4 year old growing up in the shire, one day dad said to me:-

"Dave, youre old enough to support a rugby league team"

and

"Around here, we like to support the sharks, they have colours of black white and blue"

and

'They are brave and heroic, they stand up for the shire."

And so I said to dad:

"Fug me dead dad, when are we moving?"

And so it came to pass that before I could attend school in the shire, we moved interstate, then overseas and then back to Sydney and the north shore.

And one day at primary school, I did spy a football card. The player was wearing red and green.

I stood there and looked at the player, enchanted by the brilliance of the colours and noble majestry of the finest emblem ever made.

I said to myself, "this is my calling, I have found myself"

And so the glittering lights of Redfern called.

I learnt of the legends unsurpassed, our destiny, our dynasty and.....Ive never had cause to look back. Not for a moment.

But each year, I make the trek to Endeavour field and pay homage to my ancestry. I see what life would have been like if I had stayed in the shire.

This year is no exception.

Besides, I want to see us belt the sharks into league oblivion!

According to humble shire folk,Theres plenty of imagination in catching a ball and running into the opposing teams forwards!

Thats high brow stuff for them mate.

The last time they kicked and chased was 1969 and that was a penalty kick for goal gone wrong.

bullsh#t mate you've come in here calling us all sorts of names etc but you know what son we haven't won a G/F and we still follow our team passionately and that is real rugby league fans...... Melbourne and the brisbanes can win with their money and power being one city teams and Melbourne being propped up by news Ltd and say how great they are but we're a true rugby league area mate so f#ck you with your crap on our team..... My parents grew up in the St george area and followed the Saints win year after year but moved to the shire in 66 and when the Sharks were born they followed the local team......... FFS my grand mother used to go from Beverly Hills to Como for holidays thinking it was a country vacation, we ain't been around that long....., I always wonder when the Saints won the 11 in a row i wonder if they would have done that if the talent was split with a sharks team?..... You won in 71 i was born that year FFS ...... To compare an inner city side to ours in premierships is like comparing england to Australia ........ you've been around 100 years mate you'd have want to have won a premiership !!! So since 67 how many have you won ?

And I'm sorry we WERE robbed in 77 by Hartley and we should have one under our belt......... But mate every Sharks fan is the truest of fans because we haven't won a title and we're still following our team week in and week out year after year so when you come to Shark Park show some respect or f#ck off!

havent you heard..warriors cant win over here..they are so unpredictable its not funny, we played sh!t and still smashed them 24-8..giving the storm a scare and beating them is 2 different things..we also smashed the titans with prince and co playing...30-14..

hahaha. if you are saying im not a true supporter of my team, you are badly mistaken. im only 20, so i missed the glory days all together. but i have been red and green my whole life. when we were booted for those two years, i stopped watching nrl all together. i go to every game i can possibly make, rain hail or shine.

weren't the sharks earlier this year dubbed the worst sydney team in terms of crowds? this is when you's are a top 4 team. so dont talk about part time/fulltime suporters... you's are winning at the moment, so you have to ask how many of the people coming to your games are part time... we are losing and still besting you's, ie. with our full timers. and say what you want about our current position and our poor year, but with the talent we have coming through and the fact that we are on of the most financially viable clubs now, the future looks ok. how is your future looking?
