Lewis was awesome, nearly won them the game off his own bat. Soward....well, he has really fallen from grace, he was terrible today. On a side note, I'm interested to see how neutral and oppostion fans rated Feleti Mateo and Blake Green (before his golden point faux pas) from Parramatta? I thought John Williams was awesome today too, you Roosters are damn lucky to have got him...livid we let him go!

How did Josh Lewis qualify for Premier League? Is this the same guy who played half in FG for the back half of the season?

He played the minimum (9, I think?) Premmies games required to qualify...

9 games is the criteria? Sounds like BS, looks like BS, smells like BS and tastes like BS. Good thing I didn't step in it.

This is the 2nd time in 2 years that Soward has stuffed up in a grand final.

His performance in the 2005 reggies grand final between Parra and the Roosters was almost the same.

He played 13 games for Newtown during the regular season. That is more than half the season.

Why was this moved? Related to the Roosters first grade side next season???
Next season..perhaps. You answered your own question.

Its a NSWRL related thread. Besides, it would have been swamped by other threads in the NRL forum where it came from. Its probably getting more replies here.

SOWARD had a an absoulte champion game in the semi final last weekend against saints, however was not as prominent in the final against parra as he consistantly has been all season when playing for the Jets side.

In fact Jets led the grand final from start to finish ( till the VERY last second ), And when that did happen it meant another statistic. This had been the ONLY game ALL season that had involved SOWARD in the 17 that jets had lost, having won every game that jamie took part in ALL season till now.

He has done better, and will do better again. I have seen a lot of him this season and he does far more good things than bad.......

As for LEWIS. Awesome as usual ............

Jets will win the 2007 grand final. !!!!!

Carney is crap. Why do all you Raiders fans think he's good? Has a decent long kicking game, NO short kicking game, average passer, above average ball-runner. He'll be nothing without Jason Smith.

Carney has played his best football WITHOUT jason smith, which sort of blows away any theory they he'll struggle without Jason Smith. But anyways, we'll see... im confident the next long term NSW pairing will be Mullen - Carney

Head will never play Test Football, all the knee injuries have put paid to that.. has the talent but not the legs.

I agree, they'e both still teenagers as well, and have both won games on their own in 1st grade. Carney is a top player, if people actually watched him play instead of just accusing raiders fans of biuas they'd realise this bloke is the real deal.
Mullen is the best young half in the game IMO, bias aside the bloke reminds me of a young Darren Lockyer, awesome, passing and kicking game and quick as hell (just ask Rhy Wesser and Matty Bowen)
As for Jamie soward, the phrase "tits on a bull" comes to mind

You never know, i still rate him the best young half around and wouldnt surprise me if he got the NSW gig next season if fit, which is a big if. His kicking game is sensational.

Head will be 25 next year so really you can't still consider him as a youngster.
