Not the close ups, when they are focusing on the fights, they look like they are ripped straight out of Rugby League 3.

I started watching this series the other day. I'm up to episode 10 of the first season. I'm not a fan of the excessive blood effects (a more realistic effect would have been better) and plenty of the battle scenes look very fake but otherwise it's pretty cool. Would have liked to have seen more fights involving Barca and Varro. Also would have been good to see the recruit that the blonde bitch bought get some more training, he looked like he could have developed into a good fighter and an ally of Spartacus's leading into the following series.

It has already come from the producers that Spartacus dies. Pretty much in line with the history books.

I only wish Crassus could of came in earlier as Glabber was a fool.

It's also come from the produces that their is enough ambiguity in the fate of Spartacus this season.
DeKNIGHT: Historically, most people think Spartacus was crucified because that?s what happened in the Kurt Douglas movie, but his body was never found, so we have some lee-way. We do stay pretty close to history, but there will be a few surprises, in the end.

I believe they're spinning it off into a Ceasar show after this season. So yeah if you weren't aware that's a spoiler, Ceasar will be in it soon. They were paving the way early in the series for Spartacus dying, what with setting the bar at "make Rome tremble" rather than actually winning.

I know that's what is on the cards but I prefer their new show that they are pitching to take over the Spartacus timeslot :shock:
