I think Hegarty is over-rated. How he ever played for Australia is beyond me. If we are interested in him I hope we are not making a big offer. He'd be good but would have to come cheap, his form warrants it.

Hegarty would be a great addition to our backline. I'd say there's about a 0% chance of it happening though. He was carving it up in 02 and 03 and IMO his rep selections were all well and truly warranted by his form. Surely we could at least offer him something. You never know.

All of those players would look great playing inside of Fitler, Wing and the dominating Roosters pack. If Hegarty were playing for a struggling club nobody would have heard of him. I'd offer him 150K at the most to come to Parramatta. If he accepted that welcome aboard Shannon.
