What about the call on Greenshields to put the Broncos ahead 16-12?
Or the extremely late raking call when Thorn had the ball?

Calls went both way

The Greenshields incident was harsh, but that Thorn call was 100% spot on.

Surely you're not suggesting that it makes up for the Creagh blunder?

Both calls could've gone either way Hutty. The forward pass was just a farce so much everyone (including Dragons fans) laughed on the replay in the stadium.

we see that frequently with the man upstairs getting involved.

Both correct under the rules as they stand.
When did forward passes become cool?

Yeah, it was a shocking pass. I just mentioned the other calls because they were potentially match turning as well

As a fan I feel shattered that we didn't execute well enough and that we got done by a Dragons side not playing at their best.

Aw well, good win Dragons, top class side IMO.

the commentators will say anything to make an excuse for a forward pass.
Like invoking the rules?
The direction of a pass is relative to the player making it and
not to the actual path relative to the ground. A player running
towards his opponents’ goal line may throw the ball towards
a colleague who is behind him but because of the thrower’s
own momentum the ball travels forward relative to the
ground. This is not a forward pass as the thrower has not
passed the ball forward in relation to himself. This is
particularly noticeable when a running player makes a high,
lobbed pass.

Still, it's very much a judgement call, could have went either way.

well said .

saints barely completed a set & were down 7-2 on the penalty count & somehow won.

for mind (apart from dropping the ball), saints seemed to spread the ball wide to often without punching yards up the middle first. i can't believe they won, because you don't deserve to when you play like that.

f**king shattered, especially for the players after a pretty gutsy last 20 minutes.

But that's footy, happens to everyone.

Well done to both teams and congrats to the Dragons for getting the points in the end. Beauty of a kick from Gorrell.

To all those complaining about Ben Creagh's pass. As a Dragon's supporter I'll concede that pass was forward the day we are awarded the 1999 Premiership. If a pass like that was good enough to score Melbourn'es first try in that game we'll take one tonight thank you very much. ;-)

didn't head seem p*ssed off when handing the ball over to gorrell!

head had struck the ball beautifully for his two conversion from wide out (not that wide though)

Subsequent replays proved their were no forward passes in the 1999 GF.
I know you wont buy that, but they analysed them a week later from all angles, even directly above and they were sweet.
This pass tonight, well, not even Dennis Denuto and Johnny Cochran would be able to convince the jury otherwise.

LOL!

way to let go! try this one....

the ball to langmack in the play preceeding peter mortimer's try in '85 was far worse than the melbourne one. in fact it was virtually handed to him in an offside position. i demand that arko & qualey strip the dirty dogs of that title!

I dunno how the linesman missed the Creagh pass. The refs were terrible tonight.

How the hell can a team give away so many penalties, have a crappy completion rate and still win???? It sure is a funny game.

I thought the Dragons defence kept them in the game (still worried about the right side though), but they luckily got out of this one. Usually teams pay when they make mistakes against the Broncos.

fmd charlie - i agree with most things that you say but there is no way known to mankind that the pass wasn't forward in the '99 gf.

i aint buying - so don't even bother selling.
