True, the tackle was nasty, and if that tackle is judged in isolation, then O'Neill should get 2 or 3 weeks I reckon.

But, that's up there with Maddison taking out ??? (Roosters Half? who the hell was it, I can't remember now...Some punter they bought in probably), and it certainly rates with Greg Bird's effort as the worst cheap shot of the year, probably a bit worse than Bird.

For those of you who don't know...Williams punched a tigers player square in the face off the ball with Melbourne in attack.

I am a Storm fan who does not condone that type of crap and want to make it clear that the backlash from this should not be targeted at the club but at the player.

I'd say this kind of suspension will involve months as opposed to rounds.

Im big on the saying "What happens on the field stays on the field" but I really do hope charges are laid in what was simply an attack.

Mark O'Neill hit him, Melbourne scored soon after. But when Danny Williams got up and king hit him as pay back.

O'Neill went down like a stunned mullett.

O'Neill took Williams high in a two-man tackle about 15 out from Storm line.

Williams gets up, O'Neill at marker, ball is played and goes through a few sets of hands, O'Neill starts to follow play from marker.

Williams steps towards O'Neill and clobbers him with a savage right, then just casually steps over O'Neill as he is semi-concious on the deck.

Storm get across the line and score, but only because half the Tigers side was lining up to take Williams apart!

Stupid move, because play was going the Storm's way and had they not scored a penalty probably would have been forthcoming 15 out, right in front.

Maybe Williams could give as his defence at the judiciary that he had just been concussed with the high tackle and head slam.

Danny has been a bit infamous for enjoying the biff since his NS bears day. I eagerly await to watch him playing for York City in Nat Div 1 next year...
