Yeah, the trainers and the doc had him on the ground, and he looked like he was vomiting. His jaw looked pretty ordinary too, could be busted.

What makes it worse is that it wasn't simple retaliation for the high tackle, there was about 6 or 7 seconds between the tackle and the hit, maybe longer. If he swung from the ground immediately after being hit high, you can almost understand it.

I don't mind biff. If he'd hit him with his handbag from the ground and a small scuffle had developed i'd have loved it.

But that was disgusting.

What Kia ora said.

Do not target Melbourne with your disgust but the coward himself Danny Williams.

Danny has been a bit infamous for enjoying the biff since his NS bears day. I eagerly await to watch him playing for York City in Nat Div 1 next year...

Yeah he's always been know as a bit of a Wildman even before his Norths days (although he was born on the North Shore of Sydney his junior club was Woy Woy I think?) he made his debut for Norths against Manly I believe t-ba we won 20-6 or something like that. Bring back Memories?

But this is something different even for him (or anyone else for that matter).

There goes any chance of him playing for the Bears on The Central Coast by the sounds of it.

f***ing Disgusting display by Williams.

Why didn't any of the Tigers belt him back???

Because the tigers arent twits. They got in there and stopped anything from continuing.

Whats the maximum penalty aside from life the NRL can impose?

It doesn't matter, give him a suspension for the rest of the year... He is off-contract and no one would sign him after that... He ruined any career he had left after tonights effort...

Oh and sorry about the two threads, i started the other one. We both posted at the same time. ;-)

He is obviously devostated at what he has done and what he has cost the Storm.

Really?

Is that why he walked over him after smashing his head in like he wasn't even there?

That's when he was still pent up on anger after being hit high. Didn't you see him in the sheds? The guy clearly knew what's coming to him come monday, it's just that he only realized it after he went off the field. Not that I'm condoning his action.

Yeah, Reg won't talk up that shot, not when O'Neill wasn't even looking.

Besides, Gallop would have already sent him an SMS, I reckon...

It was probably a case of he wasn't sorry for what he did, but because he got caught..... Either that or he remembered he is off contract after the year and he has just ruined his career...

Yea that was crazy. O'Neill certainly didn't look in good shape afterwards. I think he'll get 15 weeks.

15 weeks?

a guy dropped a soft knee into a guys head during normal play and get what was it 12 weeks?

This deserves at least a year

The saddest part of the incident is that the Tigers win will be swamped in the media tomorrow. No gloss should be taken waay from an excellant defensive effost.

They were in for all money...

Not all money. They were simply in.

Chemical - he was put on report - maybe the referee was playing advantage.

O'Neill was the man covering where the try was scored. I doubt they would of scored if he had taken part in the play.....

From www.leagueunlimited.com

Both sides traded tries before the match was turned on its head when Danny Williams was sent from the field for a cheap shot on Mark O’Neill.

The 'king-hit' from Williams reportedly breaking O'Neill's cheekbone - the outcome to be heard next week.

If report rings true, Williams is gone for the season... and then some.
