Sport the great peace maker

after all the crap over the last few years with terrorism and racism rampant in the news,how good was it last night and today to see all the different nationalities in this great country drinking together,hugging each other and yelling "we" and 'Australia" are going to the world cup.

i just saw a young bloke that looked like he was from Muslim back ground with his arm around an Aussie looking bloke and saying to the reporter "i dont even know this bloke and ive got my arm around him"

me personally i think it is great to see that sport will make some people forget about racism and hating people because they are different ......but in a sad way....why cant people be more tolerant all the time instead of just for a few hours after a major sporting event
