After attending the Gold Coast match last night it has once again come to my attention the poor behaviour of opposing teams at their home matches upon victory.

I would hate to think that a Sharks fan would act the same way as the Gold Coast fans that I encountered on my way out of the ground. That idiot who was screaming Titans for 5 minutes was possibly the most unintelligent human being I have ever seen. Besides I swear he was saying Tigers.

I have only ever been on the end of worse abuse from West Tigers fans at Campbelltown.

I urge all Sharks fans to please behave yourselves when we win matches at home. Swearing and taunting the opposing fans after a loss is degrading to them and also yourselves and is really uncalled for. We want the opposition fans to travel to Shark Park. We get $$$ for that.

Also Pierre who was trying to start the titans family chant. I am glad that no one backed you up as that really was not appropriate at all and I am sure that 95% of the other travelling Sharks fans agree with me. That is why no one backed you up with the chant. It is indeed a fine line between going too far and being funny. The see you at show girls chant was in much better humour and in gest.

Warren Ryan said it "You know when you are watching a game of football at Cronulla because the fans there don't boo the ref". I would hate to think that this opinion of the Sharks fans has changed.

I am finished now.

No offence Boldo, but have you ever watched a game from beer hill?

You don't wanna be a rather attractive young lady walking past our patch of Sir Walter. Really, you don't!

Another thing Ive never inderstood is the moron mentality of winning fans giving it to the supporters of the visiting losers.......everyone knows what its like to be disappointed and frustrated by a loss and most dont bother to rub it in (especially when the only difference is a suspect try and/or a missed conversion FFS)

But they are amongst us peoples.....happens a the broncos games, happens at the titans...main thing is most supporters view such dimwits as they act.

I am more than happy to leave the ground satisfied and smiling after a win, whilst looking at the despondent faces of the losing supporters safe in the knowledge that will be me once again and very soon...so say nothing.

I want to know how you tell Titans fans from Sharks fans. All I could see the other night (on tv) was the same colour. I think the nrl should have insisted on a different set of colours for the Titans when they gave them the go ahead. I felt ripped off when I saw their team come out in the sky blue and we were wearing the white and grey.

Well said boldo - I've been on the end of a tirade from some Knights supporters leaving the SFS after they beat us in the final in 99??? It was really unpleasant and showed them as being ignorant arseholes and what was even more disturbing was that my missus actually gave me permission to belt the main offendor (I didn't). Such behaviour can only cause trouble....
My philosophy now is be gracious in victory and defeat.

In my experience:-

Worst game day fans (match environment)-

1. Manly-totally feral
2. Newcastle-king fugs of the geniuss
3. Bulldogs-bad mouthed yobbos.

Best behaved (no particular order)

Souths
Panthers
Sharks
Saints
Eels

a bit of banter is ok, that said there is a difference between friendly banter and abusing oppostition supporters.

I've found st george, newcastle and tigers to be the worst.

Umm...That would have been in 2001. Complete with the Peach chip and chase. Sharks only lost one final in '99. You know who that was against, surely.

Sharp, aren't ya!

1999, SFS, I was at the game with 3 others, all of which were low scum supporters. As if that wasn't bad enough some mongoloid all decked out in red and white starts in at me for being a Shark fan.

I was less calm back in those days and a brouhaha insued, blood, guts - the whole shooting match. I have to admit the spastic in St George gear had slightly the better of it and I got back to Sharkies sporting a black eye.

Well fugg me dead if I don't run into guess who there. Why the fugger didn't go back to his own toilet of a club I don't know but it's just looking like it's gonna be on again when whooshka - in comes the bouncers and "remove" said genius from the club with a stern "behave Cuddles" in my direction.

Ahh the old days
