Dylan Caboche, the Indian hero, punches his mount in the guts before Race 2 at Port Lincoln. It seems that his action did some good as She's Reneledasgirl came eighth out of 10 starters, improving on the two 9ths at her only two other starts.

On a personal note, it's not a good idea to punch a horse. Some years ago, I punched horse in the head with my best after it headbutted me. The horse's head didn't budge but it felt like my wrist ended up somewhere near my elbow. Ouch!

My advice is never plonk the shortie in a derby or oaks. Way to many variables.

Purcell was saying aloisia isnt an out and out stayer and 2000m will probably be her best next prep but class will see her through in the oaks.

I actually think he is bang on the money which is why I'm shitting bricks with my Aloisia bet.

Luvuluva looks an out and out stayer... I think they might try and do a Gust of Wind on Winx here and turn it into a proper staying test.
