French Baguette GIF

L’Arc De Triomphe night lads - this bald merkin is going to crack another bottle of red and settle in. First time for a few years it hasn’t been a bog track - maybe today’s the day for glorious Nippon!

What a wonderful little mare she is.
I believe that may be the first-ever Australian-trained winner in France. Strawberry Road and Starcraft both won Group 1 races in France but were not Australian-trained at the time.
That’s a massive effort from both horse & stable their bravery to roll the dice should applauded - Get her to America!!

Deeply sorry SSS, that’s damn harsh.
The bastard has pipped me often over there in the last & although nowhere near Pike-level I couldn’t miss this time around with a single bonus bet left to use..
Then again, who had VK in leg 1 of the Phlegm quaddie except old ladies with mystery tickets??
SB gave $100 back for quaddies placed.

They are sperm-bathers but they gave $100 back. Kept the rest, believe that.

Seems like most of the opinion on the Ka Ying Rising trial was that it was underwhelming.

It was a pretty high class field and he was never let go…. Didn’t wow me but thought he looked pretty good tbh.

Main worry would be that Prebble didn’t seem overly rapped with him. Mentioned the ground was a lot softer than he’s used to, if you were on him then you’d be absolutely shitting bricks about any rain around after hearing that.

lol I don’t know if Purton’s foxing but he definitely seemed non plussed.
To my bald eye it seemed like a nice trial but I guess everyone was expecting something flashier.
Obviously the ground is one thing but from all reports he was pretty fresh pre trial and come raceday with horses everywhere & 50k boisterous punters rocking the joint it might prove a real obstacle.
Seemed like Purton was most worried that he didn’t change his leg after balancing up and maybe that’s what the camp thinks will be his achilles heel.
I’d say he’ll still brain them but $1.50 can geeeeeet farqed tbh still want to be with Joliestar and probably War.. Huh!..Yeah!.. good God ya’ll!.. Machine.

Both runs have been good. Surely will be peaking 3rd up. Live chance if he can get into the race up the rise without having to make a long run

Yep up against the A-Graders you can’t give them that much head start, if they overdo it upfront though and he’s in striking distance he’s a chance..

There will be a few of them rattling home.

Should be a cracking race though can’t wait
