I’ve been backing her all this prep since seeing her in a trial nicely against one of my mates horses and I’m done with her.

Gets too far back. She’s in the bin.

I wish I never saw that f**ken trial tbh.
f**king Churchillitarize the dick teasing merkin got us good Sans. As you said great trial then It was running on & running on all prep. Yuck.

Surprised the money has come for Al Riffa… yes he’s probably the best credentialed horse but 59kgs, Gate 19, on a wet track, no thanks.
I’m the opposite Lem - the more and more I look at him the more I’m bolting up like Ray Thomas in a tanning salon.
I think it’s clearly the best horse in the race (possibly the best European raider for some time tbh), has shown a good turn of foot in his races, already proven to carry weight, the barrier might actually suit come Cup time with wider lanes likely to be better. The fact they’ve brought him here knowing they’d get top weight + plus booking Flemington Zahra are other massive positives.
My only real worry would be a bottomless track but I don’t think it’ll end up much worse than a soft 7. Im pissed at myself for not taking 9s last night now that a few merkins whacked him at Call of the Card today.
I think River of Stars is the best at a price, will be up on speed, one paced but will stay all day & loves soft ground. I think he’s run in the Caulfield Cup was tremendous and should be priced way lower.

Wish you luck mate… it won’t have any of mine on it though. I do take your point about the wide barriers but I still think the horse will likely have to come from a long way back and weight will stop a train, especially on a deteriorating track.

Waller camp seem to think River of Stars is their best chance. I’m taking her on though (you have to find reasons to pen them) I’m just worried where she gets to from the draw…. they will have to give her a squeeze early to take up a position on her. If she can slot in then she will run the two miles for sure and give it a shake.

I’ve done my form and have penciled in my horses but I’m going to wait till late before betting. Just want to see where the track gets to and how it plays. It could have a big day tomorrow.

Best of luck to you too Lem!!
I did see Duckworth & Cwazn spruiking River of Stars today which worries me knowing the camps smoke & mirrors track record lol especially with Valiant King being low flying atm and ol’ Crying Chris thought he’d be a cert in this years Sydney Cup before getting injured.

Tracks gone up a 6 which is probably better than expected. Radar looks like there will be more rain today though.
