With Cooper back maybe we will se the best of Vidot. Cooper has the ability to set him alight if he gets his game going. Morris was a benefactor of Cooper's strength and skill, although at times Cooper doesn't pass and dies with the ball or goes into touch. He was very frustrating last year at times with his being tackled into touch. Hoping for better things this year. GO COOPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found that Coops problem last year was that he went on a try scoring feast early on because teams were overplaying Morris to make sure they had him covered and then when teams began to adjust to Cooper abusing them for it Coops didnt adjust and implement Morris.

He needs to read the defence better with the ball in hand... Having Coops and Vidot on the left may cause so much havok against the defence because of their speed and strength, just hoping that they can click like Morris and Coops did in 2010...

Mate unless injured nobody will miss a game. Its a massive game and crucial for the 2 points. Players dont need a rest at this part of the season. Harden up. None of them would want to miss this match.

I agree with your sentiments BBC and some players back up sublimely well.
The caveat that I’d put on us fielding our best squad is that if there is muscle fatigue after a match and insufficient recovery time then hamstring, quad, calf and groin strains are very common.

If a sufficient buffer could be built, I’d have key players off the paddock in a heartbeat and I’d leave the decision making to the medicos in any case

Wouldn't be surprised to see Young moved to hooker, Fien to the bench, & Prior to lock. Just can't see Fien going the full 80.

agree with this, especially since the anzac day matches usually start out pretty tough - best to have young there for the start..

i would also like to see miller grab a bench spot and see what he can offer the team.

you wont see the best of vidot until he moves to the right side - he is a specialist right side player..

he has no hope in hell on playing right wing unless nightingale gets injured, but since he isnt looking like getting a crack a right centre either he will not be at his best on the left..

I like what Vidot brings to the team. He is a point of difference between the back three. He does have the one or two errors in him but he will pick up the attention to detail as the season wears on. He is a strong runner and can take a bit of pressure off the forwards, a nice acquisition by the recritment team.

unfortunately due to some illogical recruitment vidot will be in the cutters team next season...since he wont get a crack at playing on the right hand side
they have recruited beale... so one of the existing backs will miss out.
if beale is to play centre where does that leave k Stanley?
based on what hornby said on the TV the other day i dont see him retiring at the end of the season unless he is pushed out. he feels he still has something to offer the team next season.
if beale is to play fullback, morris will move back to left wing pushing vidot out...

Agree he has a couple of errors in his game, but seems to be working hard on it. The thing about VIDOT is that he has an impact. He makes a difference to our yardage game...big strong and fast. And we have not even started to utilise his attcking powers. I would love to see us kick to him more or get him in open space. But at the moment PRICE has asked him to be a metre eater and help out from dummy half. i think he's doing a great job.
Having Coops inside him will make a huge difference ,boy we have missed him.

I think you would find that Kyle Stanley will play halfback next year if Hornby retires at the end of the season.

How on earth can you be so certain? Illogical recruitment? So we should not have signed him and moved B Moz to what might be his best position? Who would be playing wing now? Oh and ever heard of injuries? It's not the recruitment thats illogical...

I really like our team with Moz at Fullback at Vidot on the wing. I think Vidot is far too good to rot at the Cutters and Moz is just superb. I have to say that I am a very big fan of Vidot in the Red V. He has some things to work on no doubt, but geez I like him as a player. He has a very high work rate for a winger and hates being tackled.

Vidot needs to do a lot of work on his defence and catching the high ball. He also needs to put himself into a position to run onto a pass from his centre. Too many missed tackles and dropped high balls. Too many runs from a standing start.

Rorters side named:

Anthony Minichiello, Peni Tagive, Joseph Leilua, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Sam Perrett, Braith Anasta (c), Mitchell Pearce, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Friend, Martin Kennedy, Aidan Guerra, Mitchell Aubusson, Tinirau Arona. Interchange: Brad Takairangi, Lama Tasi, Mose Masoe, Jack Bosden

Talking point: Winger Peni Tagive will play his second game for the Roosters against his former club tomorrow. He’s one of three Dragons, including Jack Bosden and Joseph Leilua, named in Brian Smith’s team. Boyd Cordner will miss the match after injuring himself in the under 20’s State of Origin on Saturday. Smith has named four forwards on his bench, overlooking Daniel Mortimer and Anthony Mitchell.

i am talking about Beale being the illogical recruitment if they are seeing vidot as a long term first grader..
i am also talking about 2013 selections.... not 2012..
please read posts properly before calling it illogical,... :sarcasm:

He's been playing with everyone at centre except Cooper and is a right side player it appears so I guess that he's on a genuine learning curve which at least mitigatates some of the comparitively minor flaws in his game
I still think that he's good value

Peni Tagive has been named on the wing for the chooks..
dead set if our halves dont target him under the high ball and run the attack towards his wing i dont know what the hell they are thinking..
will be interesting to see how they attack him, considering Sam Perrett on the other side is the roosters version of Jason Nightingale... very reliable and safe under pressure..

they need to give tagive a workout - he will leak points !!
