Pretty good comeback for NZ yesterday. Hopefully they approach today quite defensively.

Patel will struggle to retain his spot, could be Tuffey's comeback next test.

Currently 290-8

Customary collapse combined with a couple of Darryl Harper specials as always

And to make things better that virus is still going around the NZ Camp, McCullum and Ryder hard hit today, so the Lankans have agreed that Rhys Young, the back up wicketkeeper on tour, is allowed to take the gloves

A pretty poor effort imo. McIntosh played his best innings for us before being rorted by Harper.

It's about time McCullum took some responsibility as well. He needed to stand up with us under pressure and failed.....again.

Harper's horrific. He makes Brent Bowden look good. I remember the first test of a Kiwis-Australian summer a few years ago where Cairns struck Langer from over the wicket full on middle stump with it swinging slightly back down the line to be taking middle halfway up, Harper called not up looking non plussed and Langer and Hayden smashed them everywhere from there. Tauffel is the best umpire going around by a million miles.

The weather is doing its best to save us. Still, expect us to lose if Sri Lanka get more than 60 overs at us tomorrow.

Agreed, except I'd say 40 overs if Ryder can't bat. The most frustrating thing about our test team is we really don't show any signs of improving.
