Before we bash Lawrie over prob his worst season in '24, lets see how he looks post Dan Lawson. Hearing he has lost the belly flab he has been carrying for the last three seasons, hope he has added bulk to his thighs and calves too. One thing for certain is Blocka will always give 100% effort and passion every game. With some more body muscle he may even bend the line.

Thats what i thought give them 2 week run and a rest same as old fellers Mariner, Eisenhuth Lawrie play hard 2 weeks have a rest using a young bloke. Keeps them fresh

I'm pretty sure coaches prefer match fitness early in the season where possible for their big blokes who only play 40 minutes a game. Any resting of players would come late in the season and only if absolutely necessary.

I’d say the government would’ve been holding the announcement back until they were sure it was a goer. Plus there’s an election around the corner. At the end of the day I’m stoked about this.

Has it been reported on here that the initial earthworks have been underway in the past few weeks?

I'm really confused by this announcement, the centre has been in development for many years, they are already 'moving dirt around' as Webb put it.. were we going to build it anyway, but were just hoping the govt would help out? I assume thats the case.. perhaps we didnt know how much we would get..

Also said he will be straight into the first grade squad for the round 1 game v Dogs

Just read that.

Sounds promising.

He's not the most exciting recruit but he is needed, will do a job and I reckon will be in upgrade on Molo although that wouldn't be too difficult.

Makes me a bit more comfortable with an extra experienced middle...

That's the part about the story that is a mystery.
Unless Molo or another player is released in the next week or so, there will be no Klemmer announcement any time soon.

Ennis didnt confirm the deal was done.. he said basically that klemmer would be one of the only changes made in round 1... and when pushed he said something like "well it looks like its a done deal", I dont think abybody actually has that info yet.. not until the negotiation is done and molo paperwork signed and sorted with the NRL.

As always the media has run with that.. but were gonna have to wait a bit longer yet...
