I really hope the leagues club can be brought into modern times. Its a depressing joke ATM
Yes- still just a casino-the early redevelopment simply extended and redeveloped the pokie smoking area with a redevelopment but no extension of the non-smoking pokie area. If you're a smoking gambler- all the things that I loathe- you'll be well looked after by the Kogarah Dragons.

To be fair, the redevelopment goes way beyond what I've just described- it's the priorities the club has that p*** me off.

If only they could renovate the whole football side of it.
I'd be happy with that.
Hit the government up for a grant and use some of these funds to rejuvenate Kogarah Jubilee.

Tear it down and build a copy of Parras CommBank Stadium.

I live near the SFS and the new stadium is great but still the best spectator experience I've had at an NRL game by far was at CommBank.

Our tickets were 3 rows from the back row of the stand and felt like I could reach out and touch the players.

Time to move into the 21st century and if there's is money available, that should be the aim...

As you say , the place is a joke of a club ....... The Ramsgate RSL has more going for it than the League's Club ......... Hopefully something gets done .........

Apparently the 3 licensed venues made a combined profit off 25 million owned by the St George Dragons Ltd. Happy days ahead for the renovations. A financial powerhouse can only get bigger and better.
Ramsgate RSL made a profit of $36m in 6 months, this does not include the other clubs it owns.
It dwarfs St. George Leagues.
The two clubs Saints have bought, Scots and the Masons, both were about to go under, Saints are using them for a tax loss and the extra pokies they are allowed to have by having the venues. The Masonic Club was really done. Scots they keep open late, all being paid for by Saints Leagues.

Ramsgate RSL is about to get rid of their bowling greens and make the club a great deal bigger, the real reason is so they can put in a big parking lot.
The parking they have now is owned by the council, anyone can park there. On a Saturday and Sunday they lose too many pokie players to Saints Leagues.
They're already beating them, now they want to kill them.
This will get approved because Ramsgate RSL is in Bayside Council, direct opposition to Georges River, which Saints Leagues sits in.
I've up until recently been working within all the walls of the club industry, so trust me on the figures.
Ramsgate bought out, Engadine RSL, Heathcote RSL and Fingal Bay RSL. They are going gang busters. St. George Leagues are trying to catch up.
Your Leagues Club is going ok, but it's not in the realm of Ramsgate RSL.

36m I think you are referring to is revenue for the year ended Dec 23, not profit. Pre-tax profit was 2.7m.
