unlucky they ran into 2 of the 3 form teams of the comp leading into the finals, melb being the other one.

a bit like the nsw origin team, but they had a third chance to man up.

If you ain't good enough to beat the form teams than you don't deserve to be in the prelims, let alone the GF.

I'll have to agree that the Dragons were unlucky. They finished first and faced the form team of the NRL in Round 1. When they lost that game they then faced another side that was in amazing form.

That said... they finished first and were supposed to be the best team in the competition. If they can't beat the Broncos or Eels in a Qualifying Finals match, what good would they have been in the Grand Final?

They hit peak form too early in the season and when the games actually became important they just weren't good enough. It wouldn't have mattered what teams they were playing or how the referee treated them. They were nowhere near the standard that the other teams are playing at.

They choked.

As soon as the crowd went off in a match where they were singing 'oh when the saints go marching in' for the last half hour the players couldn't cope with something (expectation of fans? their own arrogance/egos?), their season went down hill and they ... well they simply choked.

the bulldogs, they will choke twice

the minor premiership and they will choke the in the grand final as well

Karma always comes back and bite, the bulldogs been the luckiest team in the comp
