David Stagg Contract Extension

Workhorse back-rower David Stagg has re-signed with the Bulldogs, extending his tenure through to the end of the 2012 season.
Stagg, 26, joined the Bulldogs at the start of last season and was a standout player in a standout year for the Club earning the highly coveted Bulldogs Player of the Year award.
Hes got everything Im looking for as a coach: hes an 80 minute player and he never lets you down, said coach Kevin Moore.
Im thrilled that weve been able to keep David on board. Hes a tremendous leader and one of the most respected players in our team.
After making the difficult decision to leave family and friends in Brisbane Stagg says he now feels like he is at home with the Bulldogs.
From a Club point of view, moving down here was a huge thing for my family but were fitting in really well and wish to extend that, Stagg said.
From a football sense Ive been able to play the way I want to play and hopefully can continue to do that over the next few years, Im looking forward to continuing our relationship with the Club.
David and his wife Temika are expecting their second child next month. He is also continuing his studies, having completed a diploma in Civil Engineering he has recently enrolled in a construction course through TAFE.
