Scribe IS pretty cool. He's one guy, not a group.

Will be a wicked night though, should show the Aussies how it's done.

To be honest I dunno how any of them would go live. I've seen several performances by Deceptikonz, who include Savage and Mareko (mostly on TV admittedly) and they almost look a little embarrassed to be there, especially Savage. But I do know that Mareko's "White Sunday" stacks up against most things internationally.

Ive seen D Konz live twice..Once when they opened for Bone in 2000...and another at a NZ hip Hop fest in 02...

they were tentative but nice the first time...and amazing the second time.

The show last night was brilliant. I was up in the front row amongst the Maoris and groupies, which is a great combination, especially with the addition of my fine self.
Frontline kicked things off in style, their songs proving very danceable and a perfect way to get the party started. Savage and Mareko were AWESOME. They hit the stage with a cute little choreographed march, and quickly won the crowd over with some searingly clever and funny raps. Both of them have an imposing stage presence, particularly Mareko, who has the magnetism of a superstar. For a moment it was hard to imagine Scribe matching this.
But only for a moment. Luckily, Scribe has a similar magnetism. He also has a fantastic bunch of songs to go with it. From start to finish he had the crowd enraptured. He did the slow songs which he explained were "For the ladies. Because the girls buy the albums. Guys just burn 'em. Thats what I do", he produced some obscure songs which the crowd enjoyed, including his take on Kanye's 'Jesus Walks'. But he showed his superstar potential by taking the audience to rare heights of exhiliration with the big hits Not Many and Stand Up. They are f*cking great songs live. He even pointed at me once, which had me very excited indeed. The encore was the remix of Not Many, involving Savage and Con Psy, and if that didn't completely have my excitement overflowing, then the moment big Savage leapt off the stage straight at me certainly did. I was able to give the huge man a hug. Doesn't get much better than that.

Here's a pic from my phone, which didn't come out as sh*t as usual, thanks to being right up the front. It's still shit though.

I'm going tonight, cannot wait! Damn Brisbane always having mid-week concerts though. Its ridiculous. The first show sold out pretty quickly, and apparently there arent too many tickets available for tonight. Should be great!!

ok... well I did better than you Illa, just as I said I would. wink and a touch \\:D/

Because my friends were working and at Uni, we only really saw Scribe, but that was more than enough. He was absolutely brilliant last night. I like the CD, but wouldnt consider myself a huge fan, until last night! I was impressed with how clear his vocals were. We saw Ja Rule live sometime last year, and he couldnt rap for shit. He kept throwing it back to the crowd every few lines to hide it. Scribe was the total opposite, apart from the increased intensity, you could have easily been listening to the CD. He was amazing.

I'd love to go to tonights show, last nights was probably only half full I think, but with a full house, it will be crazy!
