State Of Origin 2017

This time last year we were in 14th place leading into Origin 1, we don't win tonight, against a strong Broncos outfit, and we rinse and repeat this year.

I posed a hypothetical a few years ago, 'if NZ was still a part of NSW then which Warrior makes the Blues?' I recall we only came up with Matulino (who was in great form). How about 2017?

In general, I'm struggling to feel the Origin vibe this year, that may change on a freezing Wednesday night with nothing much else to do.

OK, so the game's in Brisbane but you'd still think there'd be a bit of a buzz around Sydney. Well not what I can see.

I've been in the CBD and have seen just one jumper, a maroon one! And that was on a woman this morning!

It'd be different up north.

My view is that Origin should be a one-off game each year. A series is too disruptive to the NRL and the (lack of) support in NSW doesn't warrant it.

Still, bugger all else to do tonight, so I'll watch it.

If Milford plays well it might spell the end of the great JT. Napa v Klemer, a monster mash, Origin could've done with some good marketing.

NSW looked the better side for that half, Qld forwards can't get them down the other end of the park and they aren't getting their usual leg ups from the clowns with the whistle

Best origin game I have seen for years, plenty of attack and great defence that isn't being stifled by the ref

Dog shot from McGuire on Fifita, could cost his team though because he gifted NSW a feee interchange at the perfect time in the game, which could be telling near the end if the pace continues like this
