Interesting article, Alexander’s point is an interesting one about the runs that he takes. There is so much that goes into a complete performance, but media and fans have gone down the USA route with numbers meaning everything

Joey would leave out Stephen Crichton, probably the best player on both sides of the ball in the comp, for Turbo who is perennially injured and doesn't play in the centres week to week.

The whole debate about the selection of the backline I have found hilarious at times. Even Gus during the week getting into Gallen for picking Tom on the wing “he hasn’t played there and he doesn’t play there”, he was on the wing for NSW in his first series or 2, and dominated. And talking about needing to play people in their positions and in the same breath Latrell plays centre, as does Lomax week to week

Personally I hope they don’t pick him, if they do, he will nail it, but happy if he is lining up for Manly next week
