I thought Robson was good but Watson offers little. Time to get Kenny in.

Watson's passing and game awareness is terrible. Every recipient is flat footed due to pass placement, that's assuming he even goes the right way.

Few hookers have both attributes since Cam Smith.

Harry Grant has craftiness but horrible decision making that gets worse under fatigue. NSW ran over him last year to win the series (as did Penrith in the GF). Daley just has no game plan.

Robson was okay. Watson came on and we looked a bit more dangerous I thought.

We cleared out the spine to let Cleary run the show. And he didn't run the show when chances were given to him. I think that will cause a re-think in 2026. Robson and Edwards will be under huge pressure to keep their spots. Moses straight in over Luai.
Luai was poor tonight. Kicking and passing left a lot to be desired.

I just want a dummy half that can hit the player on the chest. I get it is hard in SOO because the ruck is such a mess, but the difference between the two sides is QLD play on the front foot and flat, so are less impacted by the ruck while NSW still want to create the space to play before the line.

Luai recieved way too much ball. Cleary at some point should have done a 2023 move and placed himself at second receiver. Never happened for whatever reason.

Yeah Watson ain't gonna do that. He is going to spin around and try to be elusive like Tedesco. I thought it kinda worked in this scenario tonight as we were a bit headless. But in game II Watson was a nightmare for us.

I understand how there question marks around his mentality or attitude but Terell May should have started in the front row. Too late now, but certainly next year assuming he maintains his outstanding club form he should be picked.

The Maroons too good, result was never in doubt.

They just never gave us a sniff, we were too structured and never really looked like creating good opportunities.

Not surprised really QLD just find a way to get the job done.
I noticed when NSW got a bit of possession and field position in the second half, and especially after the try, Klein let Queensland slow down the ruck on just about every tackle.

Nathan’s going to cop it from all comers just the way it is. He’s mentally strong I’m sure , niggling injury withstanding, he’ll be primed to find form in the run in at club level.

Daley is a good coach broke Queensland 8 year streak

the problem was the half’s he selected for game 2 &3

as much as I hate Burton I would of even picked him or Hynes to partner with Katoa for game 3

You’d pick Hynes? Seriously? Dude has the anti-clutch/big game gene.

Nathan was playing injured in Origin 2 & 3. I think had Moses been fit he’d have played at #7 and Nathan not played.

I agree that Katoa is the future at #7.

Burton is a weird case because his form as a #6 hasn’t been noteworthy.

NSW was badly hampered by having key halves injured/out of form.

I also think Api would do far better than Watson at dummy half.

Let's hope that the slimies sign Lozza as a coach for life - another 38 years of cellar dwelling!

What are you on about? No one really cares about origin, I wish they’d scrap it.

It’s three games a year, how can legacy be made or lost over three games.

Cleary has taken Penrith to 5 grand finals in a row, one of those with his arm hanging off.

Theres no way you don't understand it. If he wants to be seen with the guys like Lockyer and Johns he needs to also do it in origin. Thats how rugby league works like it or not. Right now hes just a great club half. I have all the love in the world but it's the facts

NSW got progressively worse with each game. I expect more of the same under Daley.

The problem was said by the commentators Daley has a plan A when that goes wrong he is lost. The losing games previous was explained. Y QLD had a dynasty no one would beat them.Fast forward a few years same result but a far inferior QLD team

I love our penrith boys but at this elite level you can’t have Edwards and Yeo ball playing.
This must be done by the halves .At times there seems to be confusion across the park where the ball was going. You also need a creative dummy half Robson is a good solid player but we need to change this area to gives us a third point of attack
And last but not least picking players with injuries it used to be you had 2 days upon entry to origin camp to face a passing of a injury test fail you where out not any more it seems under Daley
Perhaps parra is due to get a new coach send Daley there or better still Perth with his buddy meninga

Yep. His reputation among non-Panthers fans is basically Mitchell Pearce with a bigger chin. He was worse than terrible last night - he was completely anonymous. To be terrible, he would have needed to actually try something and have it fail. That said, I'll take the five Grand Finals in a row over a couple of decent performances three games a year.
