So the Blues are picked on a Monday.

We have 2 big games coming up on Monday nights, including next week against the Cowboys, which will be after the Blues SOO 2 squad is announced.

There is a big push for Wade Graham & even Jack Bird to be included in the Blues team - more debutants. I get the feeling this is going to play on their mind during the Cowboys game if already selected.

Why not select the team after the all the round's games are complete - just another complication to the process that the Blues do that the Maroons don't.

I don't think we'll have that problem to be honest.

I don't see Daley making any changes unless injuries occur.

Frizzell will probably be in for injured Boyd Cordner.

Yeh maybe but there has been a lot of press about Graham & we know they pick the team half the time .

I wouldn't be surprised if they picked Ryan Hoffman in place of Cordner. Left side player, like Cordner, as is Graham, others are right side players.

no difference between the thought of 'will I get selected tonight' vs 'I got selected' vs 'I missed out' playing on a players mind...there are always mental distractions

I'm sure it's next Monday, isnt it? after the Cows game.

Yes it's next Monday.

I think for SOO 1 it was before the game.

I was watching Jennings run around for the Eels that night & thought that he mustn't have got selected...but he did.

I just think if you are picked & then you have to play, it affects the way you play.

Might be alright for a regular like Jennings but if Graham or Bird get picked, I think they won't play their best.

Graham deserves a chance but Bird is no way ready....but Laurie is dumb enough to pick him, as the press told him to.

Maybe Bozo is going to pick another sea eagles player, to come into the team, after the success of Walker lol

My worst memory of origin 1 is when we scored off the biggest forward pass in origin history, the camera flashes up to the coaches box & there's Bozo rejoicing like we won the game.

Dickhead!

Wadeo doesn't inspire me to replace Cordner, doesn't appear to have the same impact and I think his overall h/u's and ptb's are slow. He's a good FG'er and plays that edge role well for us. Bird would be better than that muppet from Manly imo, he's only going to get 10 minutes anyway.

Yeah, I didn't think Graham did himself any favours last night against the big Dogs pack.

Bird may have played himself into the squad but I still don't think he's ready.

Frizell should feel aggrieved if Graham is picked over him, but there certainly seems to be a big push coming from somewhere to have Graham and Bird in the side.

That phone call isn't new I'm sure Gallen said it took place well before the team for game I was announced.

Re: Cordner replacement, I would go for Wade. He's big, strong, and has heart. However, I think Loz will stuff it up again and go for Ryan Hoffman, or, if you believe Twitter, a 'bolter' - prob. From the Raiders.

Laurie to stick with the same team apart from injuries..
Read that NSW staff not a fan of WGraham because of some bonding session thing.
Really ridiculous reason too..

Hoffman is a nufty.
Need attacking players. None of this "big game" and "experienced" player nonsense.. NSW have no big game players yet and the only reason we have experienced players is because the same nuftys keep getting picked!
