Scroll down and listen to Turvey speak.

The guy has RL's best interests at heart.

A must for the IC.

He brings up some great points and I'm not talking about the bit where Melb should play for points this year. More, the bigger picture.

I don't know whether Steve would ever be considered. Considering his link withe the Bulldogs cheating scandal. His involvement is not important but the perception is.

For the IC to work it must be full of clean images.

All for guys like Turvey being used as consultants from time to time

bah rugby league administrators need more than passion and good interests. they need to be puppets with no independent thinking of thier own and the uncanny ability to bury their heads in the sand when it all goes wrong and they're shown a betetr solution. Turvey unfortunately doesnt fall into this category so will never be considered.

I don't agree. He's passionate but he's shown he's out of touch - he disagreed with the NRL taking the Storm's titles.

he'd be a fantastiv candidate, he is a great business man but doeas currently sits on the ANZ stadium board which could be a sticking point.

Here is my dream IC board.

John Ribot, Colin Love, Brian Waldron, David Gallop, Rebecca Wilson, Phil Rothfield and Tim Johnstone.

It has the perfect balance of passion for the game, excellent business sense while also being without any bias.

Without doubt the worst possible line-up one could assemble.

Love your sarcasm:lol:

None of these nominations seem independent to me. All have links and vested interests with clubs.

I prefer the ARL model if the board is to be made up of club representatives.

How can a body like this be independent anyway? Better off to drop the fallacy of independence.

Plus Peter Peters and John Raper to do PR.
