Steve Price Post Match

Can anyone tell me what Steve Price has had to say after this match?

Has he offered anything insightful or constructive?

Has he taken any of the blame for yet another inept attacking performance?

Has he said anything that might in some way instill hope into the fans like hinting at selection changes in key positions or blooding some new players?

Did he mention the Bulldogs first try was a carbon copy of the 4 or 5 tries that have been taken from us this year?

Or has it been the same old 'some positives, try again next week'? How many more losses until he has to do something to warrant his position?

You are right about their first try. I was certain it would be disallowed.
And what about the high shots on Stanley and King? Nothing done. Or the tackle on Vidot? He was lifted past the horizontal and had his arm twisted forcing him to drop the ball. Nothing done.

SP ...."There were alot of really good individual performances out there tonight"

..."a great effort by the boys"

..."really hung in there"

..."we're not looking to finals this year"

also mentioned silly mistakes and penalties, but gave the impression he was satisfied.

...that was a lifting / chicken wing combo

Seriousl tho it was. The danger in the tackle is what caused Vidot to lose the ball.

Poor form.

Good to know were not looking at Finals, I guess were developing youth for 2014 instead? oh wait..

Seriously, I actually respected that comment the most because it was truthful, and not pissing in their pockets - excuse the phrase.

But i cannot respect that the coach does not utilise these circumstances as opporunities for other players

completely agree. refs turned a blind eye to everything until the very last second of the game.

I also thought that pritchard (i think) deliberately targetted de belin's strapped leg with his own in a tackle that left him grounded.

Well im glad we agree on one thing. that line typifies the way he has coached the whole season.

Ironically tho, I think the coaching problem (i.e. not making changes to squad) is because he is/was trying to win each game week in week out. It is short term. Instead of creativity and experimentation, Price tends to chose the option that is always 'the lesser of two evils"

Why stubbornly persist with two halves that will not be part of our program in those positions? Why not give the future back-up option serious game time? Because it is the lesser of two evils.

It typifies his approach and is negative ...and frustrating.

 Mate is that a gee-up?

Did that chinless, gormless, gutless, brainless gimp actually say that??

I'd like to ask Steve Price since when are we not looking for the finals. What will it be after we lose our two next games

"we are not looking to finish in the top 12"

it's just a sad, demoralizing slope with this guy. gets worse every week.

we've had one decent win under him this year.

This right here. I am willing to give him a chance, but now he has said this out in the press, make the changes. If the fans now know that the team is not trying to make the 8, then make some changes (in key positons), and be cut throat about it. Give some young guys a go. Throw in some halves to at least give the up and commers some game time and an opportunity to impress.
