Do you think thay have done enough to get into the origin side??? IMO Stevo played really well and should get a recall, and Kimmorly did enough to warrant selection especially if Scott Hill is the 5\8.

Stevens has been surprising this season in that he's back to his best. He deserves at least a bench spot - especially since guys like Skandalis are being considered! Plus, Luke Davico is injured again

I to think Stevo did enough did enough to get at least a seat on the bench.

As for Noddy, I think he played well, and if he and Scott Hill both keep playing well Noddy could get a call up for game two if Gower goes ordinary in game one?

In all honesty though, I'd rather both guys were kept fresh for club footy. We need them more than NSW! ;-)

I am sure Noddy wish Gower was playing for city last night.

Noddy had a blinder. Making try saving tackles, mixing his game up wtih hill, chasing kicks, goal kicking, tackles after tackles, good balls. He played really well.

Stevo is a axe. He has to be one of the first props picked. Along with Bailey and Shrek.

Guss will pick Gower no matter what unless he pulls an injury...

Well Phil Gould isn't a selector and he even said last night that with Scott Hill in that kind of form the logical halfback from the selectors point of view would be Noddy.

Hill was awesome last night and I now wish we'd been more accomodating to his neds when negotiating with him. we sure wouldn't be talking about problems at 5/8. Ah well que sera, sera.

No excuses for Noddy now if he doesn't lift his kicking game for the Sharks - last night he showed he can kick well in general play. If only our boys would chase like the country boys did.

hmmmmm.....
If the forwards go forward BK does his thing, everytime.
Also showed a second ball player is needed with Noddy.
Hill took some pressure off him, and both were dangerous, and Noddy had a fraction longer for his kicks.
IMO Gower will be halfback for NSW. Hill will probably get lock, with Barrett 5/8.
Stevens might get a bench spot.

It's a deadset joke that Noddy was overlooked for the Kangaroos. He should be the NSW half and Hill should be the 5/8th. Gower can come of the bench.

Stevo and O'Meley should be the 2 props picked to start. Bailey to the second row with Hindmarsh. Kennedy at lock. Mason off the bench. Etc Etc.

Stevo was never mentioned by the average commentary last night but he was the second guy mentioned by the City Coaches lips.
If any body saw the first three tackles last night, you would have no argument that Stevo will be the first forward picked. He made a mountain of "hard Yards" & was near the top in the tackles, & was the "damage man". NSW will be stupid not to pick him.
Noddy played well. & "some" of his kicks were good & 2 were excellent. But he was the 4th best kicker on the feild with Orford, Hill & drew ahead of him. His goal kicking seems to be improving dramatically.

I'm glad we didn't get Hill. Great player, but he won't see the year out.

I'm surprised Stevo didn't rate a mention actually. I thought that with O'meley the 2 were the best props on the park. Seemed to me that Stevo put his hand up for all the real dirty work.

On Kimmorleys goalkicking - seems like his technique and balance are looking greatly improved, who is working with him?

Mr. Angry,

You are spot on with your comments.
Noddy needs a foil to take off some of the playmaking pressure.
I don't care if Aitkin isn't refined yet,we just need someone else out there to run the ball with some skill and options other than Noddy. He's the type of player who will pick up the pace very quickly.

Can I ask, how did they both pull up after last night if anyone is aware? Are we expecting them to back up against the Storm tonight?

Stevens definitely deserves to be considered for Origin in my opinion. He has been one of our best players. He has performed well all season and has done it consistently week in and week out. Even his discipline has improved out of sight.

Kimmorly should be considered, but comments from Gould appear to make it seem unlikely.

And both Stevens and Noddy were our best performers tonight, even after backing up from last night.

Stevos problem is that O'Meley, Bailey, Clinton, Mason and Ryles are all vying for a front row spot as well. Unless Mason and Bailey are picked as second rowers I can't see him getting in. Gould would probably like an old head like Stevo's in the side though.

The front rowers are dropping like flys.
Stevo might make it yet. I dont know that he is a favourite of Mr Gould's but the selectors have liked him in the past.
