I think Gal could do the job ok mate, but he is no replacement for stevens. We lack SIZE anyway with stevo the only big bloke ( discounting galloway), Ross needs to step up and find some mongrel or I fear he will be the worst buy our club has made.

one where steve rogers was defending the decision to not offer david peachey another contract.
rogers stated the club plans in advance and not on a day by day basis when it comes to player recruitment and retention.

Very good point Pogo, I thought that when sludge was talking up " big signings going to be announced in the next few weeks ! " ............nothing came, then Ross became available purely by chance and we got him...makes you wonder what plans , if any we had prior to his being released. I read it that we had big plans but failed to pull any singings off.

Certainly indicates a "fly by the seat of our pants" attitude to recruiting and retention. It goes hand in hand with the" let's just wait and see who is left over" attitude we have shown in previous years.
