Yes Yes Yes, it is still 7 days away, but i am already looking forward to this game.
If it is anything like last yrs encounter at WIN then it will be a great game.

What's your tip Charlie?

Tipping the Broncos Willow.
Shame the Dragons props are out, but the addition of Creagh and Cooper makes up for it a little bit.

It might give the Dragons some adv with my tip.
I just hope Ennis doesnt do an air swing with his kicking like he did last yr in the game at WIN vs the Broncos.

I'm quietly confident the Dragons will take this out.

I think Poore, Sims and Hendo will match the Brisbane front row. These blokes now have a couple seasons of NRL experience. If Ryles and Bailey were fit, I would be very confident. However Brisbane will go in as favourites.

I think we have a definite advantage in the backs, it's whether our forwards can aim up for 80 minutes?

If we hold on to the ball and stick to the game plan we should be alright...at the very least it should be neck and neck. Agree with Wobby about Sims, Hendo and Poore...its time for them to show they can match it with the best.

If there is one positive to come out of the Bailey and Ryles injuries, it's a glimpse into the future....with Bull gone next year we are going to have to rely on Hendo, Sims Poore to support Ryles, so it's a good test for them over the next 6 weeks or so to see who steps up to the plate, time for them to take up the responsibility

At this point I would like to thank Charlie for getting us over the line on this one.

In the first 20 minutes I was worried... things weren't going our way with the Phil Cooley in video box, and the dropped ball in our own half was alarming to say the least. Indeed, its hard enough to just play the Broncos without everything else going wrong.

But this thread rang back to me and with that, I knew we were still in with a big chance.

Again thanks Charles, we couldn't have done it without you. :thumn

How good was Hornby? More or less played five-eighth in offense and fullback in defence. Reminded me of that game last year where Albert Torrnes wore the number 7.

That game was a thing of beauty. Seeing that left-hand backline featuring Barrett-Gasnier-Cooper-Simmonds was simply amazing. Meanwhile, we still had Hornby-Millard-Besty on the right hand side.

If Reecey keeps up this form he'll play plenty more first-grade this season. Gorrell continued his great run. Payne had an off day, but Sims is still looking the goods. I didn't particularly noticed Poore/Hendo (Best-Simmonds-Young did so much extra work out of dummy half the prop's workload was much less) but they certainly were very competitive against the Queesland State of Origin props.

In all, I'm bloody happy!

the best feature of the day was barrett's form at half. warren ryan pegged him accurately - by playing half he was forced to play at the line with the ball & run straight. he had a blinder.

matty head will want to play good footy in premier league.

surely Matty Head will come back in when ready. He is too smart a little player not to be in first grade, there has to be room for him. Barrett can be just as effective at 5/8 with Head there, plus he is a great little goalkicker. I still maintain we missed him in the final against the tigers last year, he is the type of player who can pop up and turn it on when required. I think a Head/Barrett/Hornby combo is more dangerous than any toher alternatives.

I'd like to congratulate you guys on your victory this afternoon.

I think you should be pretty proud of your team, severely understrength and they outplayed one of the best teams today no question.

All the best for this season.
