Storm are still grappling....

ffs, we will talk about the issues facing our league.. the storm still grapple... AND are still getting away with it...

Every team grapples.

Every team has had a grapple tackle recorded against them at some point, and many, I would say MOST teams have had some sort of wrestling coach.

If you're seriously "talking about the issues facing our league", how about discussing it in a balanced, accurate manner, rather than victimising one team? I hate Melbourne but this whining and complaining about them is realllly old.

you sound like a bitchy little schoolgirl... 'like seriously shut up, that was sooooo last year'

and covell tripping blatant but then again was the dragons player in the charity shield... and he got nothing so neither will covell

Open your eyes to other teams c*ckhead. You're blinded by bias.

Judiciary Round 4
The Wests Tigers' Rhys Hanbury, Melbourne's Cooper Cronk and Gold Coast's Brett Delaney were the other players charged with grapples.

I am pretty indifferent when it comes to the Storm as a team, and the egotistical Storm supporters annoy the f**k out of me too... but when it comes down to it, I'd rather listen to them than the boring old anti-Storm brigades :sleeper:

Everyone on these boards always tries to downplay the bias by adding some form of final statement 'get the grappling out of our game' or 'for the good of the game' which I do certainly agree with... but it's not just the Storm using these tactics, as a lot of people would have you believe. EVERY player who does it should be punished.

bring up peggy sue when you've got nothing else to say girl
Did you chose to ignore my previous 2 posts in this topic. I did comment on the topic of this thread.
Well Peggy Sue does have previous for that, threatenng to sue someone or anyone at a moments notice, doesn’t he. You seem to be rather defensive, is he your dad ?

And by the way, I see no reason to mention the woman who has had the biggest impact on your life.

On the Sunday Roast, Phil Gould and Matty John didn't believe Cronk should be charged for it.
That’s good enough for me, why do we bother with the judiciary. Refer everything to Matt & Gus.

Dragons=Melbourne owned since 1999

You have a little hissy fit when I bring up peggy sue. You then ask why, and you assume because I had nothing else to say of relevance to the topic (in your learned opinion), Yet what is the relevance of the above comment ? Hypocrite

While driving home from the game Sat. night I had a bet with a friend there would be a thread started on this topic.
This would suggest you knew the tackle would be placed under scrutiny, based on the tacklers action, which is what this thread is about. And yes, if anyone is found to grapple or tackle in a similar manner to Cronk’s tackle (remember he had prolonged contact around his neck), regardless of the team they play for they should serve a suspension.

I agree, in fact i think they do less grapples then anyone else now, but the fact they perfected it makes them more of a target i guess.

Cronks was blantant however, although the rules may change cause of where it was done and the situation.
The STORM have officially reintroduced head tackles, as was earlier stated these tactics started right after the break and continued till the end of play. Storm players held opposition players down on every tackle. The thing that disapoints me is that referees, linesmen and video refs tacitly sanctioned these dirty tactics. The Telegraph seem unperturbed. Im glad my team is not playing them this weekend

 LOL that backfired. Melbourne deserve some stick for introducing it, but they definitely aren't the only ones who do it, every club does it. Can't we get off Melbourne's back?

Dont know about too many grapples but there were a couple of pretty heavy back slams , one in particular that was pulled off by Inglis which was 110 times worse than what Misi Tal got a week for . Mind you I wouldn't have complained had Misi got the season.

But towards the end of last weeks game there was a lot of catty plays from the storm players
