Wow I can't believe some people reacted as if he was serious.

I hadn't thought about the impact that turning down the conversion might have on those who had a bet. You'd be pissed if they did and you'd picked 13+. Just wondering, with the odds the way they were (I am not sure what they were), would it have been profitable to the agency for the conversion to have been declined?

The bait was so obvious, I read the first few posts as if they were playing along. Then I realised some of them weren't...

LOL@Moanly!

They shouldn't be stripped, but where's the consistency? There's none. If they were consistent then Manly would in fact be stripped of it. But what do you expect from the NRL?

I think stripping the title would be a bit much. I think a $200k fine to Manly would be sufficient.

This is a great thread. The game should be replayed next week. Manly clearly had more than 13 players on the field before the game had finished.

Holy shit!!

Sea Eagles in hot water as NRL reviews breach

by Dallas Winspeare

NRL CEO David Gallop is working on an official response to allegations that Sea Eagles players and staff entered the playing field before the final siren went off during Sunday's NRL Grand Final.

According to reliable inside sources, the Manly Sea Eagles may find themselves in serious trouble, including the enforcement of fines, and the possibly of being stripped of the 2011 NRL Premiership Title.

"We are looking at the complaints and examining the footage" said a senior NRL official, "If Manly did indeed breach the field before the end of play, then we believe this is a serious issue".

Word around the NRL offices is that David Gallop is displeased with the behaviour of Manly players during the Grand Final, particularly the disrepect shown by Steve Matai to the Australian national anthem, and of course the unacceptable behaviour of the Stewart brothers.

When asked, the senior official went on to say "We are not ruling a rematch out of the equation. This may be a serious offence and deserves attention"

I fully support Gallop. These indescretions by Manly far outweight the salary cap cheating by Storm and then some.
