But we're no better off keeling it in the middle with bums like Thompson and Lawrence running around either.

What exactly is your problem with Lawrence? From what I can tell you've only seen him play once, and already you're judging? Add to that Thompson was our hardest-working forward last week, he's not that bad a player.

To be honest I'm getting sick and tired of your negativity. You aren't the coach. The coach knows his players better than we do, and he knows what they're capable of. Why move Drew out of half when he has been playing so well there? The one thing you do not do in the finals is disupt a working formula. And say what you like, Drew in half, Macca on the bench IS working.

Therefore it would seem logical to leave that combination as is and bring in a specialist hooker to replace Woolford. Enter Jarred Lawrence.

thompson's pathetic. i really wish people would stop judging forwards on quantity rather than quality.

i've seen probably all of jarred lawrence's first grade games. whether he's good or not, he;s the safe bet, and that's what pisses me off most. safe bets and percentage playes aren't going to beat the Roosters.

What we need....Is Feng Shuei....And nothing says Feng Sheui like going out there and sticking it to the Roosters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

troy thompson had a good game last week but, i'm still to be convinced whether he's up to the standard required of a starting front rower. He drops the ball alot and he has lapses in defence. He also doesn't offload the ball much either.

If he could get his speed and handling up he has the perfect build to be a Nathan Hindmarsh style backrower.

I would use macca off the bench after 20, in defense i would want him to use his speed to get right up in the face of finch and freddy when they are about to kick.
Roosters rely on a solid kicking game, if we can mess with it and frustrate them, it will be all the better. Wont miss macca out of the defensive line either, he is a bit of a turnstyle in defense so i would use him to constantly pressure the kickers.

who would start at half back then? Keep Brad Drew there and put lawrence into 9 or move drew to 9 and play somebody else at 7. I would like to see Carney play (even if it's off the bench for 15/20). That kind of experience would be invaluable for the kid. With the amount of players out and the fact that the Raiders are massive underdogs, they really have nothing to lose.

i have a self-imposed ban on talking about Todd Carney, because it was affecting my health.

I stated in another post i would give carney the number seven, we have nothing to lose and this experience would be immense for him. I feel with an 80 min to play with, he could do some real damage.
Sure we can talk combinations all day but seriously, have we really had a key combination in attack all year besides the ones mogg seems to be able to pull out of his ass!
