Stuart slams 'whinging' coaches

"The only people that are complaining are the coaches who are getting bashed up because their players aren't there and they rely so heavily upon them," Stuart said.

Err, why would coaches who get an advantage from this complain about it?!

Stuart even had a solution for those coaches fed up with being forced to fend without their Origin stars for three games a year: "Don't go out and buy your rep stars," he said.

As has been said, Melbourne only bought one rep player (Crocker). In fact, Quinn is the only one from the remaining eight who played a first grade game before he came south of the border....

So really what he is saying is "If you don't want to lose anyone during Origin time, don't develop your youngsters into rep standard players" W...T...F!?

Brian smith wouldnt have complained if newcastle had a favourable draw and could play with out thier playmakers.

I like how smith ignored the fact the dragons had 3 of thier most important players out, because newcastle cant play without their playmakers thats why he whinges

I dont think its the storm or broncos etc complaining..they know they are good enough to overcome the rep season and will take their byes when they want.

The disadvantage lies with the teams competing at similar spots on the table and some teams get to play the best teams minus origin players.
When you look at the Dragons, they get the Storm and Broncos minus rep
players...thats 4 points to them that they probably would have struggled top get.
You would be pretty dissappoionted if they slip into the 8 by 2 points ahead of your team.
Parra also got an advantge with playing the roosters and broncos before origin..they just didnt capitalise.

Its also not about how many players but what positions..losing one half back is like losing 4 forwards or something.

I remember in 2003 the roosters finsished the year off 2nd...which isnt a big difference...however the games they lost during the origin series was the biggest difference and the minor prem is worth some cash...which probably doesnt worry financially strong clubs like easts...but would be good for others.

stuarts a tosser. if he ever develops 9 players to origin standard i reckon we'd hear him whingeing for months.

of course the sharks are hard done by as well beacuse they get to play an undermanned broncos team then the mighty soufs and raiders

if he thinks the dive brothers are the equivalent of the 9 storm rep players i'd suggest he's been hanging out with ben cousins

Stuart would whinge after a night with Jessica Alba. The guy whinging about other people whinging is like Martin Bryant whinging about people killing people.

What i find funny is that Smith complains about gifting them 2 points and not having Origin players.

What are the teams who don't have 9 origin players to play 23 games per year? Whats about the Bunnies, Canberra, Tigers. I bet they would love to have 9 origin players out.

If you have origin players stiff sh*t!

LOL. Greg Bird and Paul f**king cat Gallen worth 9 Storm players. Jesus christ. But other than that I agree, stop bitching. Pity he's such a clueless prick
To be fair, have you seen the rest of the Cronulla side? The only other bloke that they have that is capable of putting on points is Kearney.

I don't think you quite got the irony.

Hornby is the dragons halfback and their two best attacking weapons were gone. It was a bit rich for smith to have a go at the dragons when they were in the same boat.

Its a bit rich for you to put the Dragons in the same boat as the Storm.

I'm not putting them in the same boat as the storm. I'm putting them in the same boat as the Knights.

But if you compare both sides Dragons v Storm, and how instrumental each of their players are to the side. Even though the storm were missing 9 players and the dragons 3, that's not to say there was a mismatch of 6 players between the two sides.

Storm still had alot of experience and quality across the paddock in the side they fielded, granted the dragons had more up front, but by all rights, the game should have been alot closer than it was.
