I really hope they can put together a few teams for an African Cup or WC qualifiers soon.

It would be nice to have an South American team and an African team. I know we have Lebanon but an East Asian or subcontinent nation would be great as well

Good to see, hopefully at some point they can get something going back in Sudan and maybe develop in the same way Lebanon has.

As for the WC qualifiers, most of the African and South American nations would be a million miles from being able to compete at that level, would be nice for South Africa to get some legit opposition down the track though without them having to be lumped in with nations from other continents.

Not sure if this is been posted elsewhere but I haven’t seen it.
Another nation taking up the sport for the Cabra 9s.

Seen it on Total RL forums. Encouraging to see, all African nations are ideally suited to RL it's just a matter of getting awareness, coaching and hopefully integrate it into their culture. It will provide benefits both in the African nations and for rugby league itself. Events like the Cabramatta 9s have been good for those start up nations trying to gain a presence in RL and hope they progress to full 13 a side and play a test or two in the not too distant future and can only hope more nations follow a similar path.

African Australians usually stick to Basketball, AFL and soccer so to see so many coming through the RL ranks is great

If the Sudanese can start recruiting in Melbourne then that'd be awesome, large community down there
