I think it's more to do with Sullies Manager than Sullivan himself..
Releases, more money, play first grade etc

It damaged his reputation at Dragons however it did deliver 2 million bucks to Sullivan.

He also just tried way too hard to prove his worth against Saints, especially the way he targeted KF. It backfired, and came off looking like the Dragons had a win letting him go.

Doubt he will re-join us, but stranger things have happened.
Hope the kid gets an NRL opportunity somewhere under some positive guidance.
It's the Tartak effect.

Yep, obviously Sullivan had plenty to do with it but his manager has enabled him there. He had 2 years to run on his deal with the Dragons... meaning if he decided to just knuckle down and bide his time for one more season he'd be in the box seat for Hunt's spot right now and primed to establish himself as a true first grader. Instead he rushed over to the spooners, won one for himself and is now unwanted by them and possibly anyone else.

I was a massive fan of Sullivan and lets face it he had been given a good crack to cement a spot at the Tigers and was upstaged by an 18 y.o in Galvin. Galvin I may add may be a superstar in the making but if Sullivan played well, Galvin would have not got as much of a look in.

Sullivan would be a good buy and may unlock Sloan to a different level but he could also be similar in attitude as Lomax and Hunt and Flanno is getting rid of the guys that think they are bigger than the club. He started putting in releases ala Hunt style so that is a huge turn off. Hopefully we are done with these type of players.

dont disagree with anything you said, but I believe he is no Hunt. Look at what he said when he left. No rubbishing the club etc. And basically he was kicked down the pecking order and told he wasn’t needed, hence he chased a bigger contract elsewhere. That’s footy. All that said, it’s a bit hard to know what he is really like from the other side of the world. I’d love to see bud return and kill it while subsidised, but In Flanno I trust.

At worst Sullivan would be a very good KOE Cup half.

Kade Reed is at least 2 seasons away from an NRL spot if he makes the grade. LKT seemed comfortable in KOE Cup this past season.

We need a gun 7 and 6.

I am not advocating Sullivan starting, but if he can knuckle down and work hard, he may develop the consistency to play in the NRL.

Kade Reed might be closer than you think. He played against men in the Illawarra comp and led his team to a premiership.

He needs to rebuild his career in the ESL, it has worked out well for Bevan French, who is on the thoughts of Flanno ATM.

Might be the reason Flanno hasn’t rushed to sign a 7

LKT needs an off season and half a season in KOE Cup to confirm he is ready to contend for an NRL spot

Objectively if Tigers are chipping in their rumoured $900k, it leaves another $900k to pay for the next 3 years - $300k per year for a back up half isn't a bad deal at all. Its more the length of the deal, no one is going to lock him down to a 3 year deal.
