8,041 at Harlequins. Shame they collapsed in front of such a good crowd. Hopefully most will return.

About 4000 Wiganers for mine. There was a big schools tournament on beforehand, so that helped boost the crowd a bit. Having said all that, the Lexus stand was the fullest of Harlequins fans I've seen, and that was my 4th visit. The kids were mostly behind the posts, and Wigan fans in the east stand.

Overall I'd say 4000 pies, 3000 Quins regulars, and 1000 newbies.

Didn't notice any serious marketing. I think the crowd came down to 4 things. The name of Wigan RL and the growth of their travelling support, the fact it was the first game of the season, the £10 ticket promotion and the schools tournament.

I go out of my way to look for RL news down here, and certainly didn't see more than a couple of small articles this week in the London press. I don't think there was any big scale marketing going on.

Their real test comes deeper into the season against the likes of Wakefield or Catalan. Still, I'm very pleased that a crowd at a Quins game started with an 8, and had four figures.

9,851 at Wakefield. Average of over 10,000 for the round, bodes well considering Hull FC, Leeds, St Helens, Wigan, Catalans and Bradford were all away.

Great crowds considering none of the big clubs played at home, SL is picking up, who would of thought 2 years ago a round of SL with no big clubs playing at home could average 10,000?

Well done to all the clubs and fans, if they can all get decent stadiums in place, there is no reason the SL clubs shouldn't start averaging what the NRL does now.

Good to see Salford get 4,000 as well in NL1, at least they haven't thrown the towel in.

Bit disappointed with the Wakefield crowd, they were talking it up as a sell out. Mind, with that performance it's probably better they didn't.

Still encouraging to see Wakefield averaging over 9K after two games... Sure it will possibly drop, but we'll enjoy it till then :D

It'll be interesting to see how the Saints's attendances hold up once they start playing the teams who don't bring much away support on a Friday night with the televised games kicking off half an hour earlier than they have been recently.
