Clubs like wakey and bradford wouldnt be in such a pickle if the RFL grant at least covered the salary cap.

And it would make it much easier for clubs to enter C1, C, SL etc.

They have stated that with the signing of the extension with sky they want the grant to match the cap in super league at least. No doubt it has contributed to the hardship but mismanagement amount clubs has played a major part as well

super league clubs shouldn't be failing anyway....its beyond me how they can when a vast majority of their biggest outgoings (player wages) is paid for them via the grant....at some clubs the grant is paying for most,if not all,of the salary cap

Yes it doesn't make sense how they've stuffed up so often.

But with the grant covering the cap (as will happen from 2015) there really is no excuse.

Will the RFL grant cover the championship and championship 1 salary caps?

Can anyone tell me the salary cap for the championships? Does it still work out to be a % of revenue?

There is talk Danny brough will be off to union next. Super league clubs need to work out a way to pay their top players more. The player drain is starting to become too much.

its club mismanagement

they knew what revenue they were getting beforehand

clubs like bradford, wakey and london are just basket cases, cas arent far off as well
