super league dream team 2014

Care to name any? They don't appear in the dream team because there aren't many overseas players that are any good at the moment. Luke Walsh may have made the grade, but he's as resilient to injury as Todd Carney is to p!ss.

The argument that there should be more overseas players in the dream team because 4 non english players have won man of steel in the last 10 years is a bit pithy

Leading try scorer?

5 players . man of steel .last 9 years . are either aussies, kiwis. scotsman

Ahhh of course! Brough came from that impressive overseas league in Scotland  The only thing that makes Brough Scottish is an I'll advised decision to switch to Scotland following a lack of opportunities for England. He was born in Dewsbury.

Monaghan maybe a bit unlucky this year. Makinson perhaps offers more aside from finishing. The point being Australian and kiwi quality in superleague isn't what it has been

Justin Carney was the only one who really bad a legit shout. 20 of the 26 players selected in the 2 teams are English though and one of the 6 non English born players actually is the current England 6 too. Only 1 forward (Tautai) is from overseas out of the 12 picked.

Kallum Watkins is the only person to make all 3 "dream teams", and that's playing in a te that can't pass right and has no actual clue how to use him properly. Bring on the Four Nations where we get 2 halfs with a good passing game (hopefully).

Actually, for me, Danny McGuire being statistically the best half in the league surprised me more than anything.

You are going to have to explain how those teams are made up.

Colour me confused!

The Albert Goldthorpe team is made up of the players who received the best 3-2-1's in each position by journalists throughout the year, so, for instance, if you were voted the best player on the field that day you received 3, and so on.

Then players in the Opta team are "selected" by some strange formula opta use where they combine all the stats you get through a game, convert them into points, and then hey presto, the players with the best average throughout the season are listed.

Interesting stuff. AG team looks pretty ordinary - the pack especially! By far a better way of determining the man of steel tho, just might have to tinker with the judges. Who decides Dally M points? No longer the refs, I understand

Goldthorpe Medal is poor because it's biased heavily towards mid-table teams that tend to be reliant on one player. Brough wins the medal almost every year because of the way Huddersfield play, everything goes through him and if they win a match then he inevitably is given points.

Also that Opta team is different to the one that was publicised on Sky Sports, which had Theo Fages in the halves. Again, a somewhat flawed exercise.

It's plenty of $ to have a 12 team pro league and a strong England National team.
If the above doesn't transpire over the next 3 years, it's time for a personnel change
