Does anyone have an email address for 10 / One HD?

We seriously need to get a petition going to get Super League away from Nine and onto One HD.

Have just re-checked the programming for this Sunday night / Monday morning and there are two games being shown on Channel 9 this week

Sunday night into Monday morning at 12.30am Hull FC v Leeds and Castleford v Huddersfield

I am excited. finally proper Rugby League on television - even if the hour is sh*tty and I have to record it and watch it on a Monday night and it's two games squeezed into 120 minutes of highlights.

I just don't care - Super League is BACK!

Not good enough though it's better than nothing. Channel Nine, again, the sooner they are no longer part of rugby league the better off we will all be.

It's back to the days of Sunday afternoon footy on Ch9 when they packed one game in to 60 minutes (well 40 minutes of action taking out ads). A f'ing joke. It astounds me. We get BS like Premier League Darts, Poker, Tennis etc and we can't get live or full replay coverage of Super League games in 2011?

Last year they showed two games in full at the late night times. Highlights is terrible.

Looks like 2 hours to show both games.

All said and done, that's not as bad as some highlights packages, but I'd prefer if someone from Nine actually WATCHED the two games they had access to and showed the most exciting of the two at a reasonable hour when it WASN'T clashing with live NRL games.

That would be their best chance of gaining a permanent and loyal audience in Oz.

Didn't you used to get Super League as a lead-in to NRL matches on a Sunday?

During the 2009 season, Super League games went head to head with the live NRL game on Fox as a lead in to the Channel 9 game at 4pm

This game generally tended to be the game of the week featuring the bigger teams such as Wigan, Warrington, St Helens and Leeds.

There was a second game also shown in the 12.30am timeslot that typically featured smaller teams such as Harlequins, Catalans, Castleford, Hull KR etc.

Channel 9 decided that the 2pm game wasn't rating highly enough in 2010 and replaced the day games with replays of their big rating dramas of the week or comedies etc. The Super League big games were dumped and they carried on with only showing the lesser game

This would be the best thing about going to ten. They desperately need content for one, half the time there is just absolute garbage on.

Other than the fact the broadcast started earky (or the recording was late) so I missed the first try in the Hull v Leeds game, I was fairly happy with the highlights.

The first half of the Leeds game suffered with some big gaps, but overall it wasnt terrible. You do lose the feel of the game though if they over edit it.

The second game was a cracker between Castleford and Huddersfield. Terrible conditions with a very heavy park, but Rangi Chase had an excellent game with his kicking. He looks like a very good number 6 for the Tigers.

I thought Danny Orr's kicking game was good too but it was their forward pack who were outstanding, they are a bunch of no-names but they got on top of the Giants.
If i was Nathan Brown i would be worried about the poor form so far of David Fa'alogo, he has had no impact whatsoever at the Giants.

Super League is one TWICE this week on Nine

Sunda night into Monday morning Warrington V St Helens

Monday Night into Tuesday morning Crusaders v Bradford

Looks like BOTH broadcasts could be full games as both shows 90 minutes long

I was impressed with Warrington, they played some real good footy against St Helens.

My advice would be to not watch the Crusaders-Bradford game, it was an experience equivalent to banging your head against a brick wall for 80 minutes.

More accurate to say it was like watching someone else try to bang their head against a brick wall for 80 minutes. But continually missing the wall. And then having another go. And missing again.
