I miss beer. I've dropped 5kg since I temporarily gave it up, but I miss it.

I'm stuck on about 90kg now so maybe a few beers will be in order up in Cairns next week.

f**k you :p

182cm, 90kg. That said 87 odd kg was my playing weight when I played footy. So I'm not unhappy at all at 90. I just put weight on easy these days.

dropping beer is a great way to drop weight..

i've switched to pretty much exclusive scotch..

and thanks to a decent arrangement, i can drink relatively good scotch at a very cheap price..

was enjoying an 18yr single malt on tuesday night..

just finished off a bottle of 8yr single grain irish whiskey that i've been working my way through since january..

got a few variants of highland park that i'll be starting around anzac day weekend..

I still drink red, which isn't great for me, but having a wine drinkers palate I can't always do straight scotch as a session thing....and I'm buggered if I'm mixing what I have at the moment. From memory I have a 1L Glenfiddich 18yo, a Glenfiddich Original, a Glenfiddich 15yo Distillery Edition, a Glenmorangie 10yo, a Laphroiag 10yo, a Laphroiag Quarter Cask, a Lagavulin 16yo, a Bruichladdich 20yo, a Caol Ila 12yo, a Talisker 10yo, a Lark Distillery whiskey of some description and a Nant Distillery Sherry Cask.

Plus some Jameson reserve.

I might have a problem.....

A problem?
The burden of choice?
The bruichladdich is quality stuff, what do you have from the lark?

I've not tried anything from there yet. I'll look it up

They were stunning whiskies I thought. The Sullivans Cove was very good, but maybe because of the hype it was a little bit of a let down...I don't regret paying $30 for a glass, because I'm never gonna taste it again, but I personally didn't think it lived up to the award. Better off getting a different batch for way less money and honestly just about indistinguishable quality.

not just a bottle.. the whole distillery..
