Super Thread LXXV: Remembering forgotten memories

Bloody hell, this whole cricket thing is proving frustrating.

It looks like I've found a club in the Shire which will take us all on. Problem is, it is a group of 6 players in total and most those boys are expecting to play in the same team. This club grades its players (thankfully), and the skill level of our group varies widely from good to participant. I find it funny, since one of the big reasons we are leaving our current club is because they won't re-grade our side or players, yet when we go to move to a club where it happens they get upset.

I've finally succumbed to my shoulder injury I think. Scratched a few runs today but there was absolutely no power in my shots and I was in agony trying to cut or pull....

I might play next week because we're short on numbers but I'll be batting last. Pretty down about it tbh. So, scotch!

You know you are in trouble when it hurts when you try and have a pull

Also, I've found a new cricket club to take my group all on. Now to see if they all agree to move, since they will be graded rather than playing as one big group.

Update: they are creating an entirely new team for us, and we will be "mentoring" some young blokes...

That's weird.
Glad you found somewhere though.

Well I shouldn't say anything, a lot of GPs bulk bill the elderly or kids appointments. And things like X-rays that are entirely covered under Medicare or whatever still are.

But unless you're on some kind of govt assistance bulk billing for patients my age is almost non-existent in Canberra. Even the walk in clinics will only bulk bill you erratically
