Ok due to me being lazy and also not knowing what was going on when I was younger, I now have a few different super accounts. What I want to do is get them all into the one I currently use. What's the easiest way I can do this? Do I have to contact each company and let them know what fund to transfer it to?

you need to decide which one you want to pay the others into and they are obliged to obey your instructions with regard to tranferring the funds

I have just doen this with my current employer and all I did was complete a form and they took care of it for me..all I needed to give them was the names of my past employers etc.

I work for a large financial company so it was pretty easy...I would suggest that you get the details of all the places you have worked for and maybe contact the Tax office to see if there is a dept that will help you do this ??.

Thanks for that.

I just checked out the website of my current fund and it seems all I have to do is send them forms with the details of my other accounts and they take care of fransferring the funds. Easier than I thought it would be :)

You maybe hit with exit fees depending on the super fund
I've never encountered exit fees and I've had over 10 different super accounts over the years.

I’m set to retire in 10 years.
Yesterday I received an email from my super fund. They said if I put an extra $20 a week into super I’d have an extra $6,600 when I retire.

$20 x 52 weeks = $1040
$1040 x 10 years = $10,400

If I put $20 a week under my mattress instead of super I’d be better off. Or am I missing something?
