"Qld fans" weren't the victim tonight, Cowboys fans and Rugby League fans were the victim. Don't know how you can enjoy it when it should leave such a sour taste in your mouth.

Fair play to Manly though most of their fans have been moderate and willing to say they got at least a little fortunate in the end. Of course there is the odd merkin but they'll always crop up.

f**k, same birth day as me (but im older) :(
We share our birthday with Julia Gillard, Mark Nicholas and Matt Giteau.

It seems like this date has produced a disproportionate amount of greats.

September 29 should be made a public holiday IMO.

Havent seen it, will try and find decent highlights at some point. I probably wont enjoy it, but there has been some woeful decisions given this year already ('try' for the bulldogs against the Tigers, for example, a few decisions in Origin were awful etc). A good side still beats a shit ref.

Although video referees have no excuse to get things wrong. I'll cop onfield referee errors - frankly the players knock on, forwards pass, do stupid shit all the time, you can expect referees to be above human error at all times.

And not for the first time this season my faith in Rugby League has hit it's all time low.

Sigh.

This post referred to this:

And you're spot on a great side would have overcome, but the calls still ruined the game as a spectacle and forced us to play high-risk footy for the last 10 minutes to try and overcome an unwarranted deficit.

Take a look on NRL.com (unless you're not in the country), the highlights are already up.

Bear, you've got to work on your trolling hey.

As for the calls tonight, Taufua try while sus was understandable based on modern interpretations.

The final try though was a complete blight and ruined what should have been an exciting finish to the game. If there is one side that can steal victories, it's the Cows.

Refs. just have too much power and the rules are messed up. When you call tries with your penis, there's something wrong with the game.

I think that's the biggest issue tbh. Rugby League is the master of overcomplicating what is essentially a relatively simple game to understand. It leaves fans jaded when what should be straight forward calls (such as you cant run behind your own player to gain advantage, you lose the ball forward it's a knock on, you pass the ball forward it's a forward pass) suddenly have numerous ways to be interpreted. We shoot ourselves in the foot.

On an unrelated note, asked for $40 out when getting some crappy takeaway after work cos I was out of food options, somehow macca's worker heard $3 then gave me f**king $3 cash out. When I saw $17 instead of $54 on the eftpos machine I was too tired to bother protesting the ridiculous transaction. She'll be in fast food for a while

Ditched Uni last 3 weeks because gaming. Ditch meals because gaming. Oh gawd it's back.

Whatcha playing these days Apey?

Feel so fussy at the moment. My iPod classic of 3 and a half years carked it and despite owning a smart phone that can hold a fair amount of songs...I want a new mp3 player. Can I get some FFB recommendations up in here?

Apparently there's only one road into and out of the Peninsula. Who wants to help me blow it up? We'll sink the ferry while we're at it.

Should be an interesting game, I expect the Rabbitohs to win but you never know. I have a feeling they will really step up though, they would have had their arse kicked all week long.
